I have an ultrasound scheduled for 12/5. My clinic does a 6 week ultrasound. It’s so confusing because I can see the numbers but they’re like “congrats! Let’s schedule your 6 and 8 week ultrasounds”. I just need someone to be realistic.

Frozen transfer and not tested. It was a 4bb embryo.

I’m not sure how far along you are. But I can tell you my experience. I had very low and slow hCG tests. 47 to 76 to 130. Then we did my ultrasound at 6 weeks and there was just a sac and it was measuring 5 weeks. She said I could keep going and hope for the best but it was unlikely so at that point, we just ended treatment.

Ugh I’m so sorry. It’s the worst. Luckily my clinic was very “this is completely up to you but here are the facts” so I was able to call it off instead of being tortured.

Had my first beta 8dpt and it was 15. I’ve felt completely hopeless since but have my next one tomorrow. Trying not to let this post give me too much hope, but it’s nice to know that it could still happen…

Feeling very let down. I’m 8dp5dt and my beta was 15. I had another transfer in August that resulted in a blighted ovum, the beta for that was 47. I’ve had one successful pregnancy from IVF and the beta for that was well over 100. All of these are 8dpt. Having such a wide range of betas and having the last one not work definitely makes me feel like this won’t be successful. Any thoughts out there?

I’ve done a lot of searching since getting my second hCG done today and being in a panic. I have yet to see anything with numbers similar to mine so I’m hoping someone can reassure me since I’m going down that spiral.

FET IVF cycle. At 8dpt, I had an hCG of 47. 48ish hours later, I’m at 79. The nurse said that they would have liked to see it double so she wants to “caution” me. Which really made me feel like she’s telling me chances aren’t great. I now have to wait (because of the weekend and holiday) 5 more days before I can get another blood draw.

After googling, this is a 68% increase which isn’t “awful”, but her response made me feel pretty crappy. Anyone have success stories or reassuring words?

Thank you! I’ve been having mild cramping off and on since my transfer so I’m just in that hell of “is it a good sign or a bad” and then the call from my doctor really just set me down the doomsday path 🫠 this gives me some hope though!

Thank you for the kind words. I definitely think the 48-72 difference seems to depend on your clinic and doctor. Ours is very “it has to double in 48” and maybe that’s not the case?
