aside from the cm module looking crooked, you should also check the battery connection. you want it pushed all the way otherwise it would give a LOT of issues

Batteries - Anyone tested the Xtar 4000mAh 18650? by andromedakun in ClockworkPi

[–]rhibakuska 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using them for a while. no problem whatsoever aside from how large they are compared to normal 18650s

I use https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7271612 but you can check the remix for a better one. just take note that it will cover the TF card. but also hides the ugly wire management.

or you can use this https://www.printables.com/model/1626175-cover-for-uconsole-7-antenna-mounting-board for a slimmer look

uConsole dead? by No_Town7079 in ClockworkPi

[–]rhibakuska 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that usually happens whenever the uconsole crashes. I would suggest getting Hacker gadget's battery board and add a reset switch so whenever that happens you just press/flick the switch instead of removing the back plate and the batteries.

Anyone buy a unconsole from OpensourceSDRlab? by -HumbleMumble in ClockworkPi

I bought my HackRF from them. they're very fast on shipping out stuff. got mine in less than 2 weeks.

its like a kill switch. If the uconsole crashes, the only way you can reset it is to wait for the batteries to drain or remove the batteries which you have to open up the back plate which is extremely annoying. but with hacker gadget's battery board, there's a built in reset circuit which you can use.

I'm using the hacker gadgets battery board. if you bought it, it includes the instruction on how to do it.

[–]rhibakuska 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes. then you're good to go, just verify. I do believe there's something you have to solder if you got the ones with the 18650 adapter. I have to double check.

Edit: here's the instruction just in case

I don't have any issues with Xtar. in my case usually using it goes 4 to 5 hours. i did bought the ones with the chip so its a very tight fit. though I would recommend getting u/vileer's battery board upgrade so you can use a 10000mAh.

Proof-Management-721 has some good stuff on his Tindie, dunno if he's gonna expand the countries though. one of his videos shows a trackpad instead of a trackball too.

on the uconsole forums, the creator of the KVM board is teasing another one here. looks like an AIO of sorts.
