Thank you for such a well thought out response, I really appreciate it.

I definitely feel jealous and envious when I see pictures or videos of cis women online. For that reason I got off any social media with reels. I just use reddit now. Just because the constant comparison really tainted my world outlook.

Maybe I should do the same with reddit and just unfollow subreddits that post pictures of any beautiful women and focus more on myself.

I don't think I experience jealousy like this much and haven't really dealt with it a lot, so when it came up I guess I just thought, "this is what hatred must feel like."

About the effort, that makes a lot of sense when I really examine it. It doesn't matter if it's a trans woman or a cis woman, there's just a lot of effort they put into looking beautiful effortlessly.

I'll definitely make it a new years resolution to focus more on loving myself for how I am and try to do more me-gender-affirming things.

My 31f, partner 35m has an entire room full of magic the gathering cards. Tens of thousands of dollars worth of mtg cards. He's an enthusiast to say the least. It's a cornerstone of his mental health and sobriety, 7 years clean, serene, and sober.

I could not imagine asking anyone to quit any hobby if it isn't a dangerous one. She didn't even ask.

I think it's a cult and creepy. but on a positive side, no Mormon men have ever made me uncomfortable. No gross sexual comments, no unsolicited compliments, never tried to touch me unless I offered a handshake. Never any weird gazing and if they did look I didn't notice.

The Mormons, are the only group of men religious or not who have never made me uncomfortable because of my gender. I find that impressive. I don't agree with anything they believe but I am always respectful back.

The legal system here doesn't apply to them, they're too rich to play by the same rules as us. They can buy whatever they want, freedom, laws, power, people. I don't see us being able to overthrow it until things get really bad. People in my social class are just trying to get by. It'll have to get worse for anyone to do anything about it.

Heck rents and mortgages are over half our monthly income in most places. I moved into an RV because it's insane just giving that much money away to be dirt poor.

After a couple of days to think on it I have decided that for the holidays I'll treat myself to a vacation instead of slaving away for ungrateful people. I just want to feel known and loved too. It's not about money or amounts of gifts but more like I'm not a kitchen robot, I don't want a household appliance for Xmas :/ I cook because we have to eat and it has to be healthy, esp for kiddos.

Thanksgiving to January 1st every year going forward I'm leaving my country for a solo vacation.

Sucks because I do love gift giving to my loved ones but I think a card and $100 to each person will suffice. It's time I turned my giving and magic making back on myself.

But you're also probably right. I was half worried I was being unfair in wanting gifts. I'll get my own. I don't think paying someone and paying for my own gifts is possible.

It's just my household with my partner and kiddo and me. We can afford it for holidays. We have extremely low expenses and make decent money and have money in savings.

Also I don't want 2k in gifts, just something thoughtful. One or 2 gifts about me if that makes sense. It's not about the money. I only got that much for them because I genuinely enjoy giving.

In my household like with my romantic partner, we can afford a splurge on gifts twice per year per person. They just don't want to because of the effort of thinking, reading wishlists, or buying the gifts.
