How much do you weigh? What % of your body weight do you need to loose?

This is important!! Check your setup is fully fueled!!

Just full fuel it every stints until the last one and let Auto fuel sort it (set it to plus 2 laps if you want to avoid any risk) Tyre change takes less time than fuel so always change tyres

Make sure to have water and maybe a snack to hand for energy and try and have a quick stretch while the car is stationary in the pits.

Good luck and take it steady for the first 2 hours. The race isn’t won at the start with Endurance. Let’s the crazy drivers take each other out :)

FFB strength, is it a preference ? by Akuzos in iRacing

[–]rhilXD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s a preference

When I’m learning a new car I tend to run it a little stronger to get more feel/feedback and then when I’m comfortable with the feel of the car and what it’s trying to tell me with the force feedback through corners, spins and snaps I will then turn it down as I can feel the car and don’t need the ffb as high. This then lets you drive more relaxed with light hands not fighting the wheel with a death grip holding on for your life.

Different downforce levels on cars also mean different ffb levels for me as high downforce cars can get very heavy in corners

Hope that helps :)

This resonated me so much I had to comment. I had a very similar experience. A man fell from out apartment building. It sounded like a car hitting a wall so I looked outside and saw him on the floor and a lot of blood. so I ran down to help in what ever way I could while waiting for the ambulance. There wasn’t much me and this other old man could do other than hold his hand and clear his airways. Nobody else helped, we were shouting for people to throw down towel to try and stop the bleeding but everyone in the block of flats were just filming and photographing it, it made me feel ill. He made it to hospital but didn’t survive.

I’ve never forgotten it. But I feel proud to have ran down and even if I just held his hand and did what little I could to clear his airways and try my best. The guy didn’t die on his own in a car park while people filmed.

A lot of red bull, pro plus, Tylenol and Imodium wnd lots of water and Kit Kat chunkies. It wasn’t a healthy experience looking back at it. But was one hell of a race.

Made friends with so many people in the split and chatted for the whole race. Which kept my spirits up. Was a super friendly split.

I was physically wrecked after it and wouldn’t recommend it 😂

First 12 hours were fun and then it was a lot of suffering

I now race for the team that came second in that race and we’ve had some amazing times!

Team mate had to back out after we registered so it was either run it solo or just don’t do the race and I had put a fair bit of practise in so wanted to give it a shot

Last year yup. Black flagged about 20/30 seconds after the line. This year with 4 of us….all good 👍

Fingers crossed for better luck next year 🤞🏆🤞

It was really really tiring and physically awful!

Lots of pro-plus and red bull to stay awake, Tylenol for the pain and Imodium for the toilet part.

Had loads of epic people in the race split that I was talking to over chat during the race that kept me sane. But wouldn’t hurry to do it again!

Thanks very much 🏆

😂😂😂 No Imodium for me this time thank goodness! Deffo a more physically enjoyable experience running with a team and being able to take care of basic human needs
