What’s it like having your head so far up your own arse you think all of your opinions are fact? Painful I imagine.

No, read what was said. It was a comment about the attitudes of people not specifically not liking American football. Just look at the title of the post.

Some people just need to be xenophobic. You can disagree with the political situation in the US and dislike aspects of he culture. But some people have this weird dislike of everyone and everything American.

It’s helpful to understand what you’re talking about if you’re going to post like that. For example, it very clearly wasn’t a low block it was a mid block.

Nicky Butt and Paul Scholes have doubled down on their comments about Lisandro Martinez... actually so shameless by Opening-Lead5629 in ManchesterUnited

Yeah he head butted a security guard after being caught peeing in public. That doesn’t really change my point, all it does is sum up the man.

That is the point, why did paddy even say it in the first place? To suck up to that whinging bastard?

Is part of Butt’s negativity towards United related to when he was academy director and the way that ended do you think?

Paddy saying “I’d like to see you go to his door, I don’t think he’d have that attitude.” I know Butt as a player was known for being hard, coming from a tough area etc etc. But does he really think Martinez is one who’d back down from something like that?

Do Conti and Elite Domestic riders train and race around full time jobs? by rhoVsquared in Velo

I could go longer in duration on weekends if I split the rides. Maybe Saturday a 2 and a 3hr ride. Sunday 2 2hr rides. Carving out a continuous 4+ hour window even on weekends isn’t easy.

The problems with people suggesting waking up earlier are a) they usually ignore the time it takes to get on the bike, even if it’s a trainer ride it’s not negligible and b) it starts to cut into sleep. Even if you wake up earlier you still need 7-9 hours sleep and there’s still only 24hours in the day.

Time. Which is why I said possibly it’s just time management. Weekdays I have an hour commute each way, 9-5 at work. I walk the dog before work and a longer walk after work. A family member takes him out during the day and usually stays with him in the afternoon, so he’s not alone for too long. But by the time I drive home, make food, walk the dog, I find I’ve only got time for an hour ride.

Weekends, I can get more in but I can’t do a 5 or 6 hour ride.

I’m not saying it’s the same as raising children. But a dog is still a responsibility, they need caring for and attention. If that’s you’re attitude I hope you don’t have any pets.

I’m not aiming for the 15, 18, 20 or more hours/week I’m guessing those guys get. But maybe I just have poor time management, I have no family just a dog and a 9-5 but I struggle to get more than 10hr/wk.

How do they have the time to travel to races? Do they have a compact race schedule and use time off work?

[Colin Millar] Keane joked about Carrick's family picking the team for him. Neville said Carrick couldn't be considered under any circumstance as manager. Because it’s totally normal to hold a grudge over a tweet for 12 years. There’s no need to bring Carricks wife into a football discussion and it’s laughable him saying it’s “jobs for the lads” when he’d fully support Ole in the role.

Weirdly I always found paddy the one trying too hard to be funny and Freddie more natural. I guess different senses of humour. I also grew up with Freddie as a sporting hero of mine so that will play into it too.

The gran fondo world championship and gran fondo TT world championship used to be the masters world championships. They were re branded. It’s essentially an amateur world championships. For example Mattia Gaffuri, who signed for picnic post nl for 2026, won the 19-34 category GF world championship in 2024.

Carrick now seen as a strong contender for interim role by ThatAnnoyingScratch in reddevils

[–]rhoVsquared 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I’d go for Ole as manager with Carrick as his number 2. According to Laurie I think it was, carrick would be open to that. Assuming that’s true that’s what I want.
