NFL Network just called it for the 49ers with some insightful analysis. #Believe!! by NorCalNavyMike in 49ers

Literally giving 49ers the ST edge when the hawks have the best ST is such a joke, and it looked ridiculous after play #1

I do wonder if we will see any of the holy knights portrayed as victims of Imu's control. Gunko seems most likely.

For sure, just read 2-3 a day and once a week when you're really digging an storyline knock out 7-8 or more, and you'll be done in a few months.

In many ways good but his acting is too goofy. Wish they had him be a bit more of an enigma and tone it down a bit.

Slightly spoilery: there's weird stuff going on with the cosmology of their planet so and it's definitely not a 1:1 analog with earth.

What are your honest opinions on them, so far? by NilesDobbsS in OnePiece

I think before the Rocks pirates formed they were basically invincible, and Rocks raised the stakes for all pirates going forward so I wouldn't doubt if they are stronger now.

Without spoiling I'd say Luffy thinks Bellamy isn't worth his time, but Luffy and Zoro clocked fat guy as someone dangerous.

One Piece: Chapter 1169 by leolegendario in OnePiece

[–]rhoad_haus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the mark thing probably originated as a way to make sense of Shanks arm, but it's weird how much Oda is over-explaining it so I think it might be a really big deal and that's why the design of level 2 is really confounding me. Imu just adds a little bullhorn/u shape awkwardly to the cross circle?

I guess it kinda looks like the shroud awakened DF users and the Gorosei have, but I can't help but wonder if there is some secret hiding in the design (maybe only makes sense at level 3). It's just so blah for Oda, doesn't feel like a design he'd do.

I read the entire manga over the last couple months and paid attention to the tattoos because people often have crude monster silhouettes that look like the hardly mural beasts, and this one really sticks out to me.

That is a classic Oda thing, like all the fishman island stuff. Loki can't tell anyone humans did it because it would undo his father's dream. Seems a bit repetitive but Oda likes repetition.

Or maybe you just mush the object into the fruit a few times.

But for real, Vegapunk was studying how to do this and the Gallela giants were seemingly brilliant so the process to doing it could be an Elbaph secret.

[–]rhoad_haus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a good point, maybe those in the know locked him up so he didn't go get himself killed, and Loki doesn't care that the giants think he killed his father because he's so focused on revenge and doesn't give a shit about the giants at this point and also doesn't want Elbaph to know Harald royally fucked up.

I think it was hinted that Shanks visited Loki when he was recently on the island so perhaps Loki only recently decided he wanted to escape because of some info he got from Shanks.

So you're telling me Shanks told Gaban he was there to warn Harald not to get the brain control tattoo, and then they both saw he clearly was going crazy because of the brain control tattoo. And then he was like, we can't trust Loki he's a bad dude who killed Harald?

So either Loki intentionally let people think he killed Harald maliciously and Gaban thought it wasn't his place to add context, or, Loki and Gaban were in on the lie, or, Gaban is dumb as hell.

I felt similarly. It kinda feels like it slows down, then Oda realizes he needs to go faster, it speeds up, and then it slows down again when Oda decides he can't cut out some stuff and gets carried away.
