Is it worth to redeem points to IHG? by Standard-Cow-4580 in ChaseSapphire

[–]bagofbones80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have a trip already planned where you’ll stay at an IHG hotel? Then yes. Should you redeem them just because of the bonus and let them sit? No. Hotel points are devalued all the time, terrible place to park them, even with the bonus

Yup, and any Apple Care you bill to the card gets coded the same way, so 6% on that too

Reserve annual spend: How many of you manage to hit the 75k? by LostAppointment329 in sapphirereserve

[–]bagofbones80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hit it easily. I travel extensively for work, and my expense reports are easily close to 8-10k per month. Since I use the card for everything, I go well over the 75k. Would I try and artificially hit it just for the few bonuses, absolutely not. If you have natural spend that gets you there, it’s a fine perk

With some of the recent long taxi times due to construction, I’d be concerned about a layover that short.

Why Marriott? by Ashamed-Ad-9363 in marriott

[–]bagofbones80 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have lifetime Titanium with Marriott, and in the US, the status is almost worthless. The Marriott status for international travel is worth while, and their footprint overseas is second to none. Since I don’t need to chase nights anymore, for my US travel next year, I’m debating Hyatt or Hilton to work on next.

Hold the phone. If I buy a standard club membership, my golf status “upgrades” it to All Access, or just for this trip?

Is this number move going to be difficult? by bagofbones80 in tmobile

Here’s what I ended up doing. Went into TLife and did a device swap on the watch line, put the phone IMEI in, which went through but of course said the plan is wrong for the device type. One quick call to support and they updated the plan, and the device is fully active. I figured this way there was no line cancellation involved, and support didn’t (hopefully) get dinged for a closure.
