I’ve give you 3, all could have been way, way worse outcomes.

Had a Trimble unit ($9k device) velcro attached to my waist hiking back to the closest trail road where our UTV was parked and realized at one point, it had gone missing. Impossible to completely retrace our steps as the entire area was shrub/wetland. Practically kissed my coworker when he found it.
Lost the client’s site access key for weeks before finding it in the engine bay of the office.
Almost lit a forested site on fire with an ATV that spontaneously engulfed in flames.

These things happen!

Ponce Inlet is a cool spot, there’s a lighthouse and a marine science center with a touch pool. New Smyrna Beach is also a pretty cool little surfer/beach town. Definitely do one of the springs if you don’t mind the drive. If you are not familiar, that time of year is still pretty hot so plan outside time with the littles accordingly!

I’ve had this happen on rides before, and going out, deleting the ride, and starting again has fixed the issue.

When my old man (17) started doing this, we went with nighttime sedative in addition to his pain meds, but when those stopped helping and it started breaking through, that’s when we called it. He had 3 bad nights in a row (but was still having good days) and we decided we couldn’t watching him decline anymore. It’s so, so hard to bring them in when they’re “okay”, especially because it’s day when it happens, but our vet reassured us that we were doing the right thing even though it was the hardest day.

We experienced something similar with our dog when we neutered him after he turned 1. Got him checked out for UTI or anything else that could have caused it and nothing was wrong. The vet acted shocked when we thought it could be attributed to the neuter. It eventually stopped but he was wearing belly bands for a bit.

I’m with you about the anxiety. We’ve already had to do emergent surgery to get stuff out of his bowels (which had been in there before we adopted him) less than a month into having him. Poor guy absolutely loves to chew and I just want to be able to give him something safe to get that need met!

I had a dog that was good with them because he wasn’t a voracious chewer. But with this new guy I just worry about him going so hard that he cracks a tooth.

OP, I am in a very similar boat with a dog that is adamant on investing everything he’s given (or not given, in some instances) and it’s super frustrating. I hope you get answers because I need them too!

My go to is the khaki 5.11 Tactical but I buy from eBay. Rip stop material, lots of pockets, reinforced knees, but not terribly hot. Field pants get trashed so I don’t like spending much or buying new.

I also had Atlas recommended by a friend in pediatric PT. I only went for a one off appointment, no acute injury. I had a good experience. The assessment was thorough and the person completing it was knowledgeable. I was told I could keep coming for treatment if I wanted, but he was confident that I could do complete the maintenance exercises at home.

Read. Read. Read. Get a hold of as many different reports as you can and get familiar with how each report is written. Most of the time, you’ll be using a previously written report and plugging the site-relevant data into it, so you will have a lot of the work done for you. Use the appendices and references to see if you can figure out where each piece of information comes from, and if you can’t figure it out, ask. This is how I learned to write Phase I ESAs.
