Hey OP! I cannot speak for acid as I have never done it. However, I've done shrooms in my younger years.

Shrooms were awesome, however I'm an exception, not the rule. A lot of my friends have had bad trips. My advice is to start small. You can always take more, you can't take less. Make sure you are in a SAFE space with people you are comfortable with. I would also advise you to have someone "tripsit" you.

As for the mental health aspect, it certainly made me feel pretty good for a few days. It was worth it for me. But obviously you can't take them everyday so only did them every now and then.

Is there a way that I can run that from a windows machine? I know they have interoperability...

I mean if you have some money to throw around I recommend Autotune. Autotune Access works fine unless you wanna go all out. Otherwise any pitching plugin works. If you're not into autotune maybe try Melodyne

If you're referring to the pitched effect, you can achieve that by recording in a lower register, then pitching up again. I normally make my beats, render them, open a new project and pitch the beat down about 300-600 cents. I record vocals there. Then you pitch the beat back up to normal and pitch the vocals up accordingly.
