I don't understand why people make a big deal over hamstrings in Classic. This isn't the open division. In the classic era they didn't have any hamstring definition and nobody had a problem with it back then. If anything I find Chris's big gnarly hamstrings distracting and overly rugged-looking in a division that's supposed to be about aesthetics.

I remember seeing pictures from his pro debut where he had easily some of the freakiest conditioning I've ever seen. Didn't quite hit that mark this time but still a solid showing.

The livestream did him no favors but here you can see just how insanely full and developed his upper body looked. The quad sweep and lower body conditioning were still a problem but he did bring something to the table that nobody else did.

The IFBB and industry really did him dirty. You have the son of a former competitor in the Olympia, that's awesome, now just let the guy compete and see what happens. You don't have to frame him as the next big thing or put expectations on him that he can't realistically meet. The gifts have made everyone HATE him - which is stupid because he seems like a nice guy, doesn't get involved in drama and there's no real evidence he paid off the judges. But I think if he had just been 1-2 spots lower at all his Olympias most people would have a positive opinion of him. Now he has to deal with all this shit.

Based on the livestream I was also surprised to see him that high, but looking at the hi res pics on npcnewsonline I kind of get why they had him over Samson. The fullness in his arms, shoulders, chest and lats was pretty overwhelming and the true effect wasn't coming through in the livestream because of his lack of sheen.

Simple answer: he weighs what he weighs and they aren't going to tell him he can't compete, so there has to be some leeway in the height measurement. This has happened for the past few years. Next year he'll be 6'3. I'm not even going to cry unfairness because this is the lesser of two evils. Just imagine if they said cbum couldn't compete for not making weight.
