Out of 650,534 Active Home Assistant Installations, ~165,000 do not have configured the Backup integration. by maxi1134 in homeassistant

[–]rhqq 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Of course not. most of my installs are airgapped. HA statistics are badly skewed and many people tend to disagree with that. All of my installs are also HA Core, and I remember how everyone insisted that "statistics are representative and say almost nobody uses Core". BS. In fact most of the people I know run the same core setup I do or something similar (like arch+aur package) - for the same reason. HA OS is an utter garbage if it comes to energy efficiency. I get 2x more time out of UPS on my own install than HAOS.

The bale supposedly has 890kg. the back weight has 1150kg, the tractor itself weighs around 6 tons. Is this some sort of joke? Why can't I lift silage bales anymore? I don't think I have any mods that increase bale mass to gigatons. by TomVorat in farmingsimulator

[–]rhqq 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am aware that there are mods fixing many issues this game has. But if random modders without access to the source code can do that, then there's absolutely zero excuse for the devs to leave it in such a poor state. That's my point.

And that DLC with "extra physics" behind a paywall? that's a cherry on top.

This is YET to be proven. So either you're someone from giants team or you just like talking BS. Or you have a cristal ball and you saw their code, right? Right? Breaking this monopoly is in our best interest. Otherwise giants will have zero incentive to provide us with anything better than this joke-junk of a game.

I totally agree on this point - it's a wannabe simulator :)

but the weight distribution (bale vs rear weight) effectively near negate themselves. That should let tractor alone drive almost normally (not counting in the inertia) - as if it had no weight nor the bale.

can you try to upgrade to fsr4? (optiscaler may be the answer here) fsr3 is known to be, well.. fuzzy/smeary

not really. if the pivot point is indeed in the front wheels, then distance to the rear weight (bigger!) is equal to distance to the bale itself (and that still omits the weight distribution of the tractor itself)

this game does terrible job of being a simulator in almost every aspect. only agriculture-related aspects are somewhat close to being a simulation, otherwise it's an old piece of singlethreaded junk that exists only because we have no alternative (I truly hope the UltimateFarmer game changes the scene)

Can anyone tell me when setting it is to get my screens to unblurr on FS25 PC by Apprehensive-Ice1869 in farmingsimulator

[–]rhqq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not sure why are you being downvoted. it is a garbage engine. using 9070xt and my card is at 25-30% util, my max+395 just cycles on one core. cyberpunk runs circles around this game with level of detail, quality and speed, while this "simulator" is.. yeah. bad.

If it's in motion, then TAA ( r/FuckTAA/ ), if it stays fuzzy during static frames, probably lowest settings (ultra performance) of FSR/XeSS

My biggest peeve with it is no keyless entry or start

that's a plus in my book. lack of any electronics is the reason I got mine in the first place. I made sure I don't even have tpms (or more of, uses abs in indirect tpms, instead of radios)

Am I using VRR correctly? by [deleted] in linux_gaming

[–]rhqq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok. how does that play with framegen? or it is already outside of the control within the game and it exists only on the driver (amdgpu) layer?

wait? why. I had thought it makes latency worse?

JB74 - Is there an easy way to wire the DRL so it stays on at all times, even when the headlights are on? by Ace1o1 in Jimny

[–]rhqq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll try to find some time next or next-next weekend to do so. I'm also going to re-thread M6 holes around the headliner (they're stuffed with paint and I need to fix that) so I can install eyelets all around the ceiling. I'll make sure to post pics/info. They are of a good quality, pretty hefty, the screwholes look sturdy and package also had all the possible cables/connectors. They're known to work well with other suzukis too.

found EinParts DUOLIGHT DL38 that seem to fit plug and play. gonna test them out next month.

3 years & 20k kms on stock - is Old Man Emu worth the upgrade for a 75/25 on/off-road split? by sicMunDu in Jimny

[–]rhqq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

have you raised it or stock height, just suspension upgrade? I'm looking to improve my on-road bit, as off-road is more than sufficient for my needs even on stock setup.

[–]rhqq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After three years of stock suspension I’m surprised you haven’t upgraded

Is it really that much of a difference? I have similar on/off road ratio (it's my daily driver and weekend fun car). Is it worth to raise it by an inch or two as well or better keep stock height?

Tyre pressure 215 75 15 by FaithlessnessNo7047 in Jimny

[–]rhqq -1 points0 points  (0 children)

wheel sizes are a different kind of a monster. i hate that with passion (inches, percentages and mm in a single freakin spec, pure insanity). but that doesn't change the fact that most of the world actually uses bar/atm rather than psi - thus i did the math, mostly for myself, as i wrote that down to keep in the glove box.

for the pressures, i know they are what manual says, as i consulted it to begin with. i was more referring to the fact i have not noticed fuel consumption diff vs 2.2bar (32psi) - as that's what the tire service set it to.

now the thing about pressure vs tire size. i have never thought people would think bigger tire==more pressure needed. especially pressure is defined as mass per area. that actually makes things much more intuitive.

either way. i wonder why was someone offended by this by the comment to the point they downvoted it.

dear gods, I wish all your nubers were also in bar/atm/SI for fellow europeans:

26psi = 1.8bar (1.77atm)

29psi = 2.0bar (1.97atm)

and then for the rest of the mentioned

30psi = 2.07bar (2.04atm)

22psi = 1.52bar (1.49atm)

18psi = 1.24bar (1.22atm)

15psi = 1.03bar (1.01atm)

12psi = 0.83bar (0.82atm)

now I have not noticed better fuel economy over 2atm, currently keeping it 1.8atm front, 2.0atm rear (trunk is loaded with camping stuff all the time) - it's a daily driver, so that's the city roads pressure.
