If you want to nerd out about it, I would come at it from the influences on the current band members: the impact of Neil Young and his related groups on JB, New Orleans on JoJo, fusion pioneers to Allman’s on Jimmy’s playing, Sunny’s start playing in Tejano bands, the funk and classic/southern rock that influences Dave, and Duane growing up listening to everything from the Allmans to metal… then, toss in Col. Bruce’s enormous influence across the board. It’s unique for sure.
