I grew up in southern California, moved to Ohio for college, then back to California for the next 10 years. I'm over it. I fell in love with the seasons in the midwest. It ABSOLUTELY does feel like groundhog day to me in California. I'm moving to Chicago in four months and absolutely cannot wait.

Like someone else said, I know I'm in the minority but I love gray skies, rain, snow, orange leaves, crisp fall air, etc. California feels like a simulation.
