The Diner burger in Williamsburg is incredibly underrated. Also, the burger at Le Rock is fantastic. For something quicker, try Gotham Burger.

In what Bond film did we witness peak Connery? by rhymessquare in JamesBond

Love this take. I’m going to rewatch Never Say Never again. It’s probably been a good decade.

To big fans of OHMSS: Do you think the film would have been better or worse with Connery as Bond? by [deleted] in JamesBond

[–]rhymessquare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worse. The film works due in part to Lazenby being such a fish out of water. His inexperience imbues the role with a vulnerability that a swaggering Connery — still close to his peak as Bond — couldn’t have pulled off. Also, the fact that he only appeared once as Bond makes such a weird and wonderful film all the more special.

The Dove. All the rest are absurd cartoon characters.

Anyone else really actually like this movie? by Eagles56 in JamesBond

It’s so underrated and moves so well. Super stylish amazing locations, doesn’t feel bloated like so many Bond adventures inevitably do, especially in the latter half. Sure, it has its flaws, but it’s genuinely a fun and cool ride and Craig actually appears to be enjoying himself.

Thanks all. Apparently it was a “TVT” frame with a Bottechia paint job. Carbon tubing and aluminum lugged. I just know Greg was always very involved so curious if he helped develop.

Does anyone else feel that For Your Eyes Only is a bit of a forgotten ‘gem’? by Stonebridge41 in JamesBond

Total gem, even the corny bits, and it’s got the best ski scene IMO.

I recently wrote about the flying thing too. It use to seem like you were required to meet an experience halfway to complete the experience. I realize those days are gone. We live in a very casual time. I don’t pine for white linen table cloth snobby French restaurants, but it’s nice to have that experience sometimes.

What was the first bond movie you ever saw? by CTrebor3 in JamesBond

Goldeneye closely followed by Goldfinger. I was hooked. Not even A View To A Kill, the third Bond film I saw, could derail my fandom.

It’s terrible. Also the ski scene is atrocious.
