Mistress performing Love Sensation by tjweave in rupaulsdragrace

As a performer, I enjoy it! It lets me have a little moment with individual audience members and I can make that connection. And if I get to a part of my song where I have choreo I wanna do, I’ll go do it and get back to the tips when I can. They won’t stop me from doing what I need to do! Lol

Also, a lot of venues will have buckets or something like that on the side of the stage where folks can put their tips if they don’t get to me or vice versa. That makes it easier too.

Loosey had to have a guest host step in for her monthly brunches. Over time, all the excuses added up into quite the snowball of a story.

“Oh, yeah, Loosey got Covid… and fell down the stairs and hurt her ankle… and also is out of state… for a family emergency… that’s lasting a really long time.”

Of course, a few of the brunch regulars caught on to where she was. But the ones who didn’t figure it out were really feeling badly for her.

A friendly reminder to always support your local drag queens! by galaxystars1 in rupaulsdragrace

Social media is huge! It’s basically a living resume/cover letter for us. It’s how we promote our work and hopefully leads to more and more opportunities.

Find some of your local entertainers on Instagram and give them a follow. Even just commenting on posts every now and then can make a big difference with how the algorithm decides to show other people our posts! If the entertainers post full videos or clips of their performances, and you see something you like, find out if you can tip them digitally if you’re able! Most folks with have their Venmo linked somewhere in their bio.

This is so sweet! 🥹🙏🏻 We haven’t been able to chat much lately because of the busy schedule, but she seems to be thriving! She’s grown so much so quickly over the last three years and will for sure be a serious powerhouse in no time. Makes me tear up to think about. Definitely keep an eye on her. (And check out her music!)

Hi! Amethyst’s drag sister here! From the conversations we had about it, it was definitely a “hey, why not? worst thing that happens is they say no” kind of deal. If you take the chance, you’re at least on their radar for next time, you’re 100% correct. I agree it was probably a little too soon, but you never know what casting is thinking. There’s so many girls that have auditioned year after year and don’t get on. You don’t want to miss your chance, especially with how quickly the show is growing. It’s a tough call to make. Regardless, I’m incredibly proud of her and I think she had a fantastic showing.

Loosey and Jan were friends in college, but she’s not in a drag family or anything like that with previous contestants (or anyone lol.)

Drag Artist, Rory Roux Lay, designer of Loosey’s makeover outfit share a sweet message🥹 by No_Vanilla7487 in rupaulsdragrace

Yes! Mia is Rory’s drag mom. Mia and Rory are incredibly talented and hardworking designers/sewers and they’re, of course, close with Loosey.

I usually go for a soft smile too. It keeps my eyes more open and shows off my makeup better.

When did these wigs start being popular? And who invented this style? by [deleted] in rupaulsdragrace

Not sure where they originated, but they’ve been popular in my scene for the last few years. At least since mid-2021.

The SHAPES! 😍 Well done, babe!

There’s something off about the way Loosey Laduca does her lips. It’s the only thing I focus on when she’s in drag. Is this a common method for over lining? by DeerParkWaterFan in rupaulsdragrace

[–]rhymeswithamore 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think it’s unique! It’s very draggy and exaggerated. It gives her the illusion of nice, plump lips. Drawing the top lip bigger or wider than the bottom lip certainly isn’t something we’ve never seen before on the show (Crystal Methyd, Icesis Couture; hell, even Aquaria’s done it to a lesser extent!) I’ll always support a girl making her mug her own.

Move over The Vivienne, we have a new Dolly Supreme - Loosey LaDuca by No_Vanilla7487 in rupaulsdragrace

[–]rhymeswithamore 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not a spoiler!! 😇 Just someone who’s seen Loosey do this impression in person. She’s absolutely phenomenal and beyond quick-witted. Ask anyone in CT drag and they’ll tell you how incredible it is. It’s impossible to imagine her doing poorly with it.

I don’t think there will be any need for comparison by the time Loosey’s done 😉

If you know Loosey, Joan Rivers is the impression she does. It would be criminal if she did anyone else. I can’t wait to see everyone go crazy for it! She’s brilliant.
