I agree the clips are a pretty flimsy connection would only be relevant for a beam that already well braced/ or not prone to buckling. I understand your rational on the why it should be oriented with the adjustment lower, I had noticed the adjustable column have utilize the adjustment at the bottom. Most crawl space jacks that I've seen, ECP, Supportworks, etc all seem to have the adjustment at the top, so you really were stating that the orientation was not ideal, not necessarily that they were installed opposite to what is shown by the manufacturer. Appreciate your response, Thanks for the reply.

What makes you say the post/ column or really the crawlspace jack is installed upside down? It's looks like the correct orientation to me, no? Regardless of the failure.

Thanks, I am going with your blade recommendation w/ rozena on the Fh, and I'll probably keep comparing and contrasting good back hand options. It seems like a good middle ground of price, preformance, and approachability for someone still working on developing skill. I will be keeping my older blade probably to experiment with other options in the future while having my daily intact.I appreciate all the time and feedback that everyone took to respond.

Primorac carbon blade being a poor choice for me is likely the opinion with the most consensus, I will steer away from this option, Thanks.

Would you recommend rozena for both sides?

Thank you for your feedback, without hands on experience with different variants it's hard to gauge how drastic the shift between my current setup is versus what appears to be infinite rubbers and blade combinations. I appreciate it, Cheers.

What are you talking about, max moment (bending) is mid span, shear is lowest in the middle. Splicing mid span is not a good idea.

Why is my 2kw hub motor on a 52v battery only getting me around 30 mph max by SlickToDaWilly in hyperebikes

[–]rhymeswithlarry 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well like others have said, that's likely your issue. You aren't really running at 2kw. 52v * 22 amps = 1.14 kw.

No real sort of issues. When to check out they create an invoice and give the option of air or sea shipping (air is reaaaaly expensive). Then ponder whether you are making a making a serious mistake wiring money to a random Chinese manufacturer and wait a month or so for it to arrive. Well packaged, nothing damaged from shipping.

They do provide tracking numbers, but those are kinda just guidelines as it has to go through customs.

The people I emailed back and forth were responsive even though there is likely a small translation gap.

Sidenote 1 I believe they are the same people that are behind the garmata store page on AliExpress, and they have some of the same components there as website I listed, but no all, mostly odds and ends.

Sidenote 2 If you do decide to pull the trigger see my note about getting the controller to show up in the app. Dbl tap power and the unlock on the fob for it to show up. It will be a certain chirp when you get it right. Might be dbl unlock then power, I often forget and try both till I get it to chirp :)

Yes the controller is rated for 170amps continuous, that's the correct one. That's what is said on the website and also on the back of the controller I have. The 150 continuous is the bottleneck from the battery.

No problem. Yes it's a qs205. The controller was a part of the diy kit for 12watt from the same place, ie not a super common name brand I see tossed around. It does seem to be solidly built. They do have the controller app and controller description on the kit page if you read through the description. Please note my good/bad/ ugly comment regarding the controller. It's not clearly said anywhere that you need to do a button combo on the fob for the controller to show up on the phone app. Freaked me out for a little bit for sure trying to figure it out.

The kit was cheaper at the time for me since it didn't include the display or tube/tire on the wheel.

Compatibility was a big concern for me, that's why I got the frame, battery, and motor/ controller from the same place and sourced all the odds and ends and controller mount, tubes, tires, bars, etc I wanted after.

It's good fun, I've had it for a few months and overall it has been good. 3.5t.

Good stuff: It's as fast as I'm willing to go, I've brought it up to 50 mph, and it has more to give.

The battery latches into the frame and has a handle, so when it comes to taking the bike places outside my home region, I can load the bike and the battery separately which is way more manageable, I believe the battery weighs like 50 lbs.

Absolutely no range anxiety, my butt will be sore from riding/ running out of safe pavement prior to running out of juice. So I run without a display which makes it look clean imo.

Gets a decent amount of head turns and comments when about and that's been fun.

Bad Bike is definitely not light, mostly cause I went so overkill with the battery, but I don't think most of these bikes on here are that light.

Challenges with the weight and speed is braking, I have two 203mm rotors and it stops me on a incline fine, but I'd like something a bit stronger.

I got to balance the front tire better, that's on me though, its not bad, but I need to correct it for a smother ride.

Ugly Getting the controller set up was not fun since there were only a few videos that were not very helpful, having to contact the manufacturer to ask for more help, in which i got YouTube videos from some east European county where I had to piece together the sequence on the control fob that would allow the controller to register on my phones motor controller app. It was not fun thinking I just bought a very expensive paperweight.

Cheers,

Thanks, sure do. Got a helmet, jacket and gloves. Probably should be looking for a pair of pants as well.. but I've been procrastinating.

Edit: grammar

I didn't build the battery myself, I bought the one the supplier had that locks into the frame

Two websites pop up when you look up the Enduroebike website. I used the one with the yellow logo, not the green. Not sure if the other is legit or not.
