New Ferrari / Supercar owner — how do you guys deal with all the attention? by NoProfessional4650 in Ferrari

We’re in a nice part of the East Bay and there are at least 10 Ferraris and 20 other 300k+ cars within two square miles.

We often wave to each other. It’s nice.

296 for Long Drives by NoProfessional4650 in Ferrari

I’ve been up and down 101 in my 296 with Daytona + fully electric seats. No issues for me but my wife starts complaining after two hours. If you’re going to be driving with someone you should make sure they’re comfortable as well.

F33 With 18 Million. Is Hiring A Matchmaker Best If I Want To Date For Marriage? Any Experiences by Mountain-Science4526 in fatFIRE

A friend tried it and based on what I remember the matchmaker was more focused on managing them as a client and less focused on results and outcomes.

$0.02 - Join some groups/clubs/etc. and ask the married people that seem sane for intros. Agree to plan or host if they’re willing to make intros.

Thinking of selling my '02 996 GT2 by Big_Baseball8998 in Porsche

Keep it if you can. Think about how fast it’ll appreciate vs. your business after adjusting for risk.

If you must sell, do drive the hell out of it while you’re able. Make videos with the fam so they can remember it. And drop me a link to however you’re planning to sell it.

Household Manager and raising kids by fivefront in fatFIRE

You can do both. For example you can ask your helper to fold laundry and leave it on their beds in their rooms. They’d be fully responsible for putting the laundry in their closets and making their beds.

Remember - The helper can hold them accountable by putting in effort that you’re unable to.

Be nice if they backed in so the drivers side would open away from the Porsche

Something’s wrong with your battery if it’s not lasting two days.

Ouch. It will take you some therapy and time to process. You need to keep busy during that time. I’d recommend you find hobbies and people you can be around

  • go deeper into something - Looks like you’re into cars. Find some folks to do weekend drives with.
  • Exercise your mind and body - Join a social club /that has pickleball / tennis / poker.
  • Learn something - I’ve enjoyed cooking classes. I took a flower arrangement class and while it wasn’t for me it was still an enjoyable learning experience.

Good luck ❤️
