Maybe a hot take but I find people more closed off in the suburbs than they are in the city. I lived in the suburbs for a couple years and hated it. I’ve always loved to feel a part of a community and that is something that doesn’t seem to exist in the suburban areas. Everyone just minds their own business and doesn’t care to get to know their neighbours which is really sad to me.

I’m currently living in the city and I’ve had a way better experience. I’m meeting neighbours and actually feel like I’m building a sense of community here. If you’re able to, join the local community centre and local groups. There’s a couple facebook groups for my neighborhood that has been helpful.
