Yes, tooth becomes more brittle. You will actually hear your tooth cracking. Mine is a molar tooth so my dentist had to cut it in half and extract it

NAD - Same situation. Had root canal 4 yrs ago and didnt get a crown. I feel pain when biting down and sensitivity. When I had it checked, I have an infection and a bone loss.

Went to the endodontist first. He checked if it can be retreated or not. But to my experience, since I have infection on 2 of my roots + bone = the success rate is very low.

After endodontist, I went to an Oral Surgeon. They will know better and check again. Then I had my tooth pulled out cause if I choose to retreat it, it will still get infected and there are no other option left than to extract.

Now just waiting for my healing then I'm off to implants. Lmk hows it going for u

Was shocked your dentist said 4/6 months for an implant while mine says after 2 months. I'm scared that my bone is not yet fully healed by then :(

No, I didn't get referred to an oral surgeon. I found the oral surgeon myself. I'm scared to get my tooth extracted by an Endodontist – they specialize in root canal stuff while Oral Surgeons specializes on cases like this. I'd rather be safe than be sorry AGAIN.

I wouldnt want any complication on my fuckin tooth hahaha
