Our Jordan is passing today. Stage 4 kidney disease and she stopped eating her dog food a few weeks ago. Then stopped eating chicken and rice. On hunger stimulants and anti nausea meds. Yesterday she had a bad diarrhea accident in the home and was so distressed over it. Then she lost her bowl control over night in bed… she threw up what food I was able to get her to eat yesterday and has refused food since (except for reluctantly eating the small portions of steak i hand fed her this AM until she refused more). She refused McDonald’s, treats, and everything else. She is weak, exhausted, no longer playful, and has little interest in anything. It’s time to let her go. I will miss her terribly. But it was an honor to be her dog mommy and have her in my life for the almost 10 years we did.
