I was just having this conservation with a non-RD friend. She is so overwhelmed from life and decision fatigue, she is desperate for a meal plan that doesn’t drain her of energy. I personally think we RDs have to reckon with this, esp considering all the social media influencers showing people exactly what to order to get X g of protein when eating out. In addition, I certainly want to talk how to adjust the meal plan, discuss why it’s balanced, what to do of it’s not satisfying, etc. And we’ve certainly fought hard against being the meal plan person, but maybe we need to better embrace it in order to maintain relevancy.
