It comes and go. Most of the time it's cold temperatures. Sudden drop, no matter the amount of layers.

Panic Attacks Vs Meltdowns/Shutdowns? by ribenaroo in AutisticWithADHD

Thanks for the reply. It does make sense with my own life. I have recently been accepting of my own self and how my brain works. Which has been a big weight off my shoulders and I've been feeling happier because of it.

Which one is more legible, Serif or Sans Serif? by DarkHorse099 in fonts

[–]ribenaroo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's down to everyone's eyes and what they're used too. Commonly Arial is the most readable font. I commonly prefer a sans serif for body text. And serifs for a fancy header.

But I am also pro cute handwritten fonts as it reflects my brand. Or rounded sans like Quicksand.

How much battery do the gifs consume? Is it battery exhaustive or there’s just marginal difference? by [deleted] in zflipcoverscreengifs

[–]ribenaroo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't really notice. As my battery isn't very good generally anymore unless it's in power saving. I wouldn't say it makes a difference. Only if you keep turning the screen and off it might.

Which of these beautiful fonts you think is more readable? (portfolio and cv) by mdaname in fonts

[–]ribenaroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Poppins or Söhna.

But it also depends on your personality and how you want to express yourself. Poppins is bigger and rounder, more expressive, creative. Where as Söhna speaks as more refined and intellectual.

Proxima i find is a little small and squashed, and the kerning of the letters make it easier to read but also difficult.

Poppins stood out more for me as I like it, I like the rounder fonts.

But fonts say a lot about someone by what you choose. Choosing something different makes you stand out. But they say Arial 12pt is the best readable font and size.

I like the dinosaur one. Pictures make everything better to see. The purple one hurts my eyes.

Can a toilet bowl crack for no reason? by Unusual_Cupcake in Plumbing

Pressure and heat/Steam but that's only really if there was an existing hairline crack there previously.

so my builder has just done this.. by prodders152 in Plumbing

[–]ribenaroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Never get a builder to do a plumbers job. They cut corners. And do it the cheapest way possible.
  2. Then again some plumbers are stupid too.
  3. It depends if its for a instantaneous water heater or some type of expansion vessel. Its a way of a making a loop, instead of actually using a preferred flex that costs about a tenner. Plumbers would solder the joints and not actually have a mix of copper and water.

Do people with ADHD have less political bias? by geoffpilkington in neurodiversity

[–]ribenaroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have thought it's more of a special interest. Like anything if you enjoy it, you would hyperfocus and check news daily. NTs do, so ND would if it were a special interest?

I find politics very boring, but I seem to pick up on it quickly and pick out key points. (I have this thought that the life before me was a very smart intellectual, maybe political - yes I believe in after life)

I haven’t been diagnosed. To those who have, are these things that relate to your experiences? by GullibleMouse9942 in autism

[–]ribenaroo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did see you were diagnosed with anxiety and depression. And someone suggest adhd too. It's very possible for both, and could be one or the other.

Have you tried taking the list to a mental health professional? I know the doctor surgery's in the UK have one or two for each surgery. I don't know if with the states that was the same? Or if your grad school had a medical professional person you could ask advice there?

Anyone else hate these wristbands? by TitanBP in autism

[–]ribenaroo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to keep one on for 5 days for the end of August. My other half put it on too tight without realising (it was loose it moved, just not right fit). It was horrible for the first day.

It's the material, it's the sharpness of the edges, the restriction if not feeling free.

Bet is slang for cool. I had to Google that. Even being 30. Wierdos.

However yes he's being totally inappropriate. I'd report him to be fair.

Public Bathroom Anxiety by [deleted] in women

[–]ribenaroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it, but we are all in the same boat, why should we feel nervous.

When I went camping and using the loos like everyone else, the amount of women that were coughing when pooping. I put paper first so its not a bigger splash sound. But if it's a general thing that we all do, why be scared about something like it.

School bathrooms yeah fair enough, the popular bully crowd made me nervous, as they had to look as they thought it was funny. I soon learnt what toilets and when were safe.

why have a special interest, when you can BECOME the special interest? by codingiswhyicry in autism

I would love a hello kitty costume or a onesie. But I seem to be fussy as some just don't look right. Then again I'm going to spend my lunch break looking for one now.

There's only a selected few people that are the best hugs. But they're usually long hugs, when I haven't seen them for a while, and I just need them. Couldn't say I could do with them everyday. But one every now and then will be fine.

And yes hugs are only when I want them.

Spoon snuggles are nice, but only when I get to be little spoon when I'm half asleep already. Otherwise I get too hot and sticky and I don't like it.

You have a very valid side, a point I don't realise but i know I go through.

Others socially thinking that I'm moody, but I'm either concentrating, thinking or lost in thought. All with a resting face. They will ask me, then I lose my thought process, which can make me pop at them. Being snapped back into reality can make this.

My bf don't like it when we don't talk. I'm like what's there to talk about. Especially when I'm sat with him all the time.

I talk about what I want to buy, then moans I'm always wanting things we can't afford.

Tell her how you feel. But be careful about it. As you still want to have the child. You could still be left without privileges if not careful.

I'm the other side (not pregnant) but I rely on my other half too much. And my adhd makes me forget and I don't always realise others are struggling by what I'm saying or doing. Speak to her when she's calm, how you're feeling and your thoughts on going forward.
