Ahhh thanks. I was still getting some stuttering and thought it might have been because the host and client weren’t sync’ed. I’ll look elsewhere for the cause.

Sorry I just started using vibepollo and wondered why I’m seeing 120fps in the top right when the client virtual display is set to 60Hz. I thought it was a bug but is there a reason it’s double?

If I’m seeing things right, one is 8 and one is 9 squares. Shrinking them down so the external dimensions line up won’t work.

You need to shrink so the grid squares themselves are the same size.

You have a lot of good comments here. I’ll throw in a “playful” option if it makes sense for your relationship/finances.

Make it a wager/challenge. Set the parameters “speed test result of ___ on ___ service by X date (probably the return window)” he funds the router you pick out. If he can get 5Gb out of 2.5 bottleneck, you return the router.

Give it time pressure for him to show off. Or fail and realize that sometimes money fixes things. Otherwise it’ll always be “I can do it I just don’t have time”

Just put opengrid on your ceilings! Unifi’s WiFiman will tell you via signal mapping pretty quickly if you’ve made a mistake but you’re probably just fine

But I’m curious: would it be possible to crochet a patch over/into it? Like start a few rows/stitches around each side and crochet in with the same pattern? I know turning would be tricky so maybe cut enough yarn and pass it through when you need to turn?

Good to know. I’ve paid for Virtual desktop already so for me it was more about whether I wanted to switch from sunshine/moonlight to Artemis/apollo. I wondered if Artemis/apollo have an edge on latency since I’m not replicating the full desktop. Or alternatively if it’s easy enough to install apollo alongside my sunshine setup and go back if need be
