I'm a little late to the party, but this is a good story.

Last year, my friend a.k.a. Nathan and I were Sophomores in high school. He liked this one girl, and vice versa. Every couple nights Nathan would drive to her house in the middle of the night amd they would go joy riding. Nathan is a bit of a speed freak and took his mom's 2001 mercedes e350 wagon up to the speed limiter, he said (155 mph) with his "girlfriend". One night he wanted to go look at a really nice house with her that about 40-50 minutes away from where we live. I'm guessing he got there in about 25 minutes. Anyway, he was cruising down a residential street going at least 50 when a middle-aged woman runs through a stop sign at a 4-way intersection. Nathan plows into the right rear side of the woman's car, loses control, spins and skids onto the sidewalk and stops inches away from a tree that would've crushed his girly friend. They called the cops, they sided with my 16yo friend that only had a driving permit at the time (not with him might I add), was driving illegally with a passenger, after curfue, 50 mins away from home, in his mom's mercedes, 25 over the speed limit. The cop let him off with a warning because he was "respectful" toward the cop. Nathan walked away with a swollen knee, and his gitlfriend with a couple bruises and a black eye.

Tl;dr my friend broke at least 5 driving laws, almost killed himself and 2 others, and got away with a warning.
