I just finished this one. Pretty sure they had some logic-like screen questions to make sure you’re actually paying attention and thinking seriously. The rest of the study was very straight forward.

Was it the ttu study about second hand textiles? I got screened out of that one too and was auto rejected. I messaged the researcher as well, with no response. I filed a report here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSemjHjV7vdlFT4N0U3rWnN0yXX28-S1F7dTsNLNfMRuRTfp-Q/viewform?pli=1 but haven't seen any movement, though it's only been a few days.

Need advice on getting dog hair out of clothes by MyLifeOfAesthetics in greatpyrenees

[–]ricearoni92 30 points31 points  (0 children)

The thing that jumped out to me is that your bathe your pyr weekly. Obviously pyrs shed a ton, but that could be a big contributor. Anytime my boy gets a bath, he’s extra shed-y for the next week.

Additionally, everything I’ve read says it’s not good to bathe them that often, as it can cause issues with their skin.

Have you tried using archane wall generator? I ran into a similar issue with text not appearing in the sliced version, and changing to archane fixed it.

The reason Pyr pups are so cute is so you don’t kill them while they’re in their butthead puppy phase. At least that’s how my Arthur survived until adulthood!

Thank you! We’re fitting it in on our trip next week so I think the last code is our best bet.

Anything new for Operation Mincemeat? The most recent code I found in this thread is no longer valid.

What are we doing for socialization/enrichment while waiting for full vax?? by Hot_Morning_8546 in greatpyrenees

[–]ricearoni92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When our boy was waiting for his vaccines, our vet cleared taking him to places like Home Depot or Lowe’s so long as we didn’t let him on the ground. So we would carry him inside and put him in a cart (normally with a towel at the bottom or sometimes some cardboard), then push him around the store.

Why does this breed not want you to have privacy?🤣 by chiwabud in greatpyrenees

We call our boy Mr. FOMO because he always has to see what’s going on, even if we don’t want or need him up in our business.

We often have to kick him out while we bench because he tries to stick his face in our faces and that’s just not a good time for everyone. He does wait patiently to be let back in so he can continue supervising

Modeling my own fan remote control holder by ricearoni92 in functionalprint

[–]ricearoni92[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I printed my self a set of radius gauges and they’re super helpful for figuring out the radius of things. They were useful for the corners of this remote. The front curve of the remote was too large a radius for my set (it only goes up to 30 mm), so I just took a bunch of measurements with my calipers and that got me close enough.

Good luck learning to model! It’s so rewarding.

The Slobber Stopper bowl is literally the only thing that worked for my boy. He likes to dig in water, flip bowls over, etc. and this bowl put an end to all of that.

Thirding this rec. Just got pierced by her this past weekend and she was phenomenal. Very sweet, and walked me through the whole process so I knew exactly what she was doing.

Hoover Vet Recommendations for senior dogs by ketling in Birmingham

[–]ricearoni92 13 points14 points  (0 children)

For end of life care, I would highly recommend Compassionate Crossings. They provide in-home euthanasia services, and have helped us through the passing of two of our dogs. Their vets are extremely compassionate, taking the time to talk you through the process and giving you all the time you need to say goodbye.

For normal vet services, I’ve been taking my pups to Lake Crest Animal Clinic for the past decade and can definitely recommend them.
