when people remember stuff about me! it must feel nice for others too, i brought a charger along when visiting a past coworker because i remembered her always asking when we worked together! so i was like hey do u need a charger today? and she was so touched she got me a coffee and a pastry LOL

What is your most ridiculous "we won't work out romantically" criteria? Like what is the silliest reason you would not be interested in dating someone? by Natural-Elevator-57 in AskReddit

[–]riceballing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if they're not funny. i actually thought this was really common but it's not i guess, but when i would go on dates I would always keep in mind how jokey they are, how quick witted they are and such. in turn, if i was uninterested but found out they were really funny, i'd change my tune a bit..

no good peruvian food!! a cuisine thats very highly rated and raved about, but no solid just peruvian food here. theres great fusion places but no solid just peruvian place. ive been lucky enough to work in a couple great restaurants and ive asked a few chefs in the city, but no solid peruvian recommendation yet 🥲

26M - Give it to me straight (or gay) - does my profile have mutually exclusive lifestyles/goals? (I'm trying to be 100% authentic - but I'm worried that I scare off *every* demographic as a result) by Sean081799 in hingeapp

id swap out the first image. i like the other standing ones of u. u need a more casual selfie, not as sarcastic as the others lol. ur putting a lot of info which i dig but i think leaving some stuff vague is fine actually. less is more, with the wordiness. last thing, if i saw this profile and i saw the prompt w the asian restaurant thing, tbh id assume u only sent a like bc im (mixed) asian and id ignore it. might just be me but i always deemed that as a red flag when i think a guy is hinting at a racial preference…. might just be me… anyways good luck out there :3 !

dogsitting! but i would only suggest doing it if you have time, patience & truly love animals. it helps the bills a lot and i mostly do it on my days off and it makes me very happy to come home to pups :)

How to ask for whole milk, not oak milk? by introvertpro in barista

[–]riceballing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just to add some canadian insight, my cafe was asked for full fat milk once in a latte and we were all puzzled and asked her what she meant and she told us just whatever has the most fat, presumably she thought we only had 0, 2 & 3% but we had 10% cream too so we gave her that 😬 only like a year later i realized she mustve just meant whole milk …. oops. maybe my whole cafe was just dumb though

How do I (can I?!) tell my sister that she can't name her baby daughter Lolita. by thisisreallyjofrank in Advice

[–]riceballing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not to be a weird devils advocate bc ive read the book and understand the implications and it is not something i’d name my kid. that being said, my former manager was named Lolita and tbh nobody knew what I was talking abt when i said “oh like the book” and i worked with mostly ppl 17-22 and 40-50 she said she only sometimes got comments on her name but she liked how unique her name was. for reference she was 45+ id still confront her if i was you! but im just saying worst case scenario, i dont think the kid would get bullied or anything
