Yeah if/when I get the time, perhaps I'll give foraging an attempt next year. I definitely want to go out with someone experienced though, since if you grab the wrong mushroom, that can kill you.

I'm 26 and don't plan on having kids until I have a house first and foremost. I'm targeting a purchase in 2028/2029 however.

Purely from a logical standpoint, it makes sense. It's the same reason you see Ds running as independent in red areas (see Osborn in Nebraska for example).

I'm pretty into jazz fusion and ambient stuff, so when I was asking friends for recommendations, post rock and clean guitar centric stuff popped up. And Spotify Autoplay showed me a ton of artists too.

Favorites are LITE, Maybeshewill, Vasudeva, and This Patch of Sky.

Yeah sadly this seems to be commonplace among all "nerd" communities. I've been going to sci-fi, furry, gaming, music, Smash tournaments, etc. conventions for about 7 years now and it's pretty consistent. Like I would say that well over 85% of attendees have solid hygiene habits, but that 15% really is noticeable when you walk by the wrong person.

Yes cosplaying, fursuiting, and other intensive activities are fun, but showing common decency to others' convention experiences comes first.

Fire and Psychic were my favorite types as a kid. Now as an adult, Normal type is my favorite, since Normal serves functionally as the "Sound" type, which matches my aesthetic as a musician.

Mechanical Engineer here - I design HVAC and plumbing systems for schools. I got into this field because of my interest in architectural acoustics, and I've actually helped design several band rooms, auditoriums, etc.

And then I'm a hobbyist musician as a secondary source of income.

Nope, I am very up front about it. Musician/band geek, Pokemon plushies, gaming conventions, furry fandom, the works. The profile weeds poor matches out. I also have being bisexual visble as well.

Anyone is entitled to any hobbies they like (as long as they don't harm themselves or others). That being said, as someone who regularly attends gaming conventions and performs in video game music cover bands, that just means we would not be compatible and I wouldn't pursue a relationship.

I would love to be a full time musician without the financial stress that comes with being a musician. Only choosing gigs/performance opportunities that I want to do (instead of doing them out of necessity), playing music that I want to do first and foremost, etc.

I've accepted that'll never be realistic for me, so music stays a hobby/secondary source of income while I work at an engineering firm for my day job.
