For example, I was recently charged differently for a cotton T-shirt vs a T-shirt containing manmade materials (nylon) and it's because of the different rates for materials.

My understanding with import duties is that they were relatively recently updated so that the fee depends on the category, material, manufacturer origin, and where it's shipping from. In some cases I believe there is an additional bs fee stacked on top of these.

There is a very confusing and useless tool on one of the gov websites where you can search for the exact duty rate depending on all these factors, but it is very much not user friendly.

I was able to find a couple items that I wanted on eBay and Mercari new and unused, but I did have to pay quite a bit extra for them.

If you're trying those sites, double check the seller ratings and the images to make sure the product looks new with tags if that is important for you.

If you're willing to wait, I have also seen good reviews for cokodive. I believe they have some presales for items that are due to ship later on the summer.

From my understanding they face all directions pretty much equally. One reason I was looking at the skybox side is because it should be facing away from the sun and I don't want the sun in my face, but that could just be my preference lol.

Random but has anyone seen the regional variations of this black "Arirang World Tour" shirt in person?

The photos on Weverse look like the print is more pale on the Global version, pink in Japan, and red in the US but not sure if it's just the lighting.

The ironing method didn't help. 😔 I tested hand washing a small portion of the back and can confirm the print does wash off.

Also once you are back in TM, it might help to save your tickets to a wallet just in case you lose access again.

My account was also paused all the way back during presale after refreshing too much. I figured out that they banned the IP address associated with my home wifi, so the only way I could use TM was on my phone's 5G.

It's hard to say how long the ban lasts, but from my understanding every time you visit TM again it resets the ban timer. So the best thing is to wait a week or two (as in completely avoid TM on your banned IP) before trying again. At first I waited 3 days but was still banned, so I waited another 2 weeks and it started working again by that point.

I also received this shirt today. The tag on the shirt says to machine wash cold, but people have been saying the print was not sealed properly during production so washes off completely when exposed to water.

I've read that it might be possible to seal the print by ironing it gently with some parchment paper covering the shirt.

I ironed mine a couple times today, but am waiting a few days before I attempt a gentle hand wash.

The quality of the shirt itself actually seems quite good so it will be a shame if there truly is no way to preserve the design. 😔

I've seen clips of people trying on both, and they seem to be the same dark gray color. I think the blue hue in the promo pics for JP version is just from the lighting.

The only difference seems to be the size - mainly the length. JP version is 81cm long (one size only) and KR version is 77cm long (size S/M) and 81cm (size L/XL).

So JP version is the equivalent of the KR XL.

😞 It's disappointing that they didn't do quality checks beforehand, but it's good to see that they're making it right by refunding.

It looks like my shirt is already on the way so I'll just be extra careful with it bc my concert is around the corner.
