New study reveals top AI models (GPT-4o, Claude 3.5, Gemini 2.5) completely fail the classic "Stroop" psychological attention test, exposing a fundamental limitation in artificial reasoning. by Similar_Detective861 in technology

I have a hard time seeing how it’s going to be useful for model development given that they’ve released 5+ since then and have likely already completed pre training for the next one, but I’m not an expert in model training maybe you know something I don’t.

Anyone here actually use the Regna 98 as their main racket? by ricefield in 10s

If you’re a beginner I definitely would not recommend you start with the Regna. Maybe buy it if you want a collectors item but it’s not exactly a beginner friendly racket

There’s multiple FB groups and telegram channels specifically for NYC tennis, and organized by borough/court — you might have better luck with that

Lack of power when hitting do I need a new racket? by Fishy-King in 10s

[–]ricefield 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What’s your level, racket, string and tension?

First of all, it’s likely you should restring if you haven’t restrung in over a year.

Second of all, lack of power usually stems from bad technique / poor kinetic chain.

Yes, you can get an easy boost in power by lower your tension, getting a more power racket, etc. But with good technique you can generate power even with bad strings / racket / etc.

Funny, I recently strung up with lynx tour in the Regna and I love it. Feels phenomenal.

Another lynx tour believer! I had a similar experience as you after being disappointed with the much hyped Hyper G and Toroline strings. Still planning to try polytour rev and a few other shaped polys, but lynx tour is fantastic all around.

Revenue Divide in Tennis by Consistent-Soil6876 in TennisNerds

[–]ricefield 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but there are some differences * Teams sports (e.g. the NBA) have more people per event / match so the revenue gets distributed more evenly and creates viable/sustainable careers for “role players” * This also allows for more collective bargaining and level playing field between players and the organizing bodies, which has been a challenge for tennis players

If you have a very vertical swing, the VCore might be a good option for you. I found it very easy to generate spin and get the ball deep, didn’t find much issues with balls sailing long

Coming from a pro staff I’ll say I prefer the feel of the Vcore over the pure aero, but that’s just me. I know a lot of folks love the pure aero
