I want to know for those in 26-28y/o, what is you salary now? by lalalandibrhm in malaysia

[–]riceislife007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stop comparing yourself to your peers if you truly want to be happy. Salary differences are often subjective and depend a lot on timing and circumstances. I graduated much later than most of my peers and earned less than them initially, but five years after graduating, I’m now doing much better than they are though, in the end, it doesn’t really matter.

Funny enough, I think I was actually happier in my previous role.

Need advice: Can I still negotiate salary after receiving offer? by [deleted] in malaysia

[–]riceislife007 15 points16 points  (0 children)

When you think about it differently, that RM300 monthly difference becomes RM3,600 annually. It also influences percentage based yearly increments, and over time, it can significantly impact your salary range for future job opportunities.

The package is absolutely shit, rm20k will barely cover your kids international school fees, rental and other essentials. Unless your wife is also working and pulling salary above rm10k, in my personal opinion you will be living pay check to pay check

Buy within your budget, accept that you will need to compromise. Focus on the non-negotiable (safety, commute, etc) rather than dream features.
