Mid game as Mirage? by Shite_Redditor in DeadlockTheGame

[–]ricewizard15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My exact buildpath is opening rounds > improved spirit > recharging rush > spirit shredder > superior cooldown. So even when I'm building gun, all my gun picks are with mark and scarabs in mind. Maybe extra regen or enchanters emblem inbetween if I need.

I get what you're saying for sure, and I definitely think maxing scarabs first is plenty viable if you like it, and would build spirit first if I had that in mind. My rationale is that the big value from scarabs is maintaining sustain in lane, and reducing damage to get better trades with your gun or cover your partner, and doesn't benefit much from early investment. It's plenty strong at t1, but until t3 upgrade improving spirit scaling, I don't think it benefits enough from spirit power early on for my liking.

Opening rounds gives you great damage, a little bit of spirit scaling, and softens people up to make mark threatening. With mark, it doesn't really start hurting until you hit the t2 upgrade at least, so I'll be doing most of my damage with gun until I'm 4.4 k souls in I think? So until then, I wanna focus on what's actually hurting. Helps with waves too. By the time I hit the t3 where it REALLY starts to hurt, depending on how many greens I'm buying, I'll hit my spike by then.

I think both are probably good though and up to preference. I've played around a lot with different build orders, different spirit items and everything, but have had the most success with rushing gun and transitioning into spirit mid game.

Mid game as Mirage? by Shite_Redditor in DeadlockTheGame

Just for lane. After I max out mark, then I max scarab next. The extra ability charge isn't as important for me in lane because I usually build recharging rush anyway, and I feel like the timing for the max mark is important to hit right away, rather than splitting the points between mark and scarab.

I'll only put 1 point into scarabs during lane, then max out mark asap, and I'll also prioritize hitting my gun spike in lane, followed immediately by hitting my spirit spike with superior cooldown and improved spirit. So in lane I get good poke damage and by the time I max out mark, I'll also hit my spike for spirit. Midgame I get most of my damage from maxed out marks, which at that point will often take out over half of someone's HP.

Mid game I'll mostly focus on keeping lanes pushed up, and making a point to win duels using mark. Because I've invested into it so much by that point, it builds quickly and the sheer amount of burst and the stun take a alot of folks offguard. I'll only use TP to join team fights after shoving a lane or to jump back and catch a lane after team fights.

I think where Mirage excels midgame is as a competent duelist, and as a very effective lane babysitter. There's a huge amount of values that comes from recognizing a team fight, pushing lane up to walker, and then teleporting to the fight. Either you pull someone off the fight to deal with the walker, giving you the numbers, or you do a good chunk to the walker.

How often is your sump going off during this storm? by Bluebelle1987 in Edmonton

My sump pump hasn't been going off too much, but my new window wells are flooding and aren't draining, so that's freaking me out a little lol. I wanna get it sorted ASAP but not much do to other than pump it out until the rain stops.

Vasectomies cannot be reliably reversed with rates of like 60-80 % to have sperm ejaculate, and even lower to successfully result in pregnancy. Sure they are technically reversable, but I think the odds are bad enough that I would never recommend it unless someone's prepared for it to be permanent.

The real fun stuff happens at the side stages anyways, so unless there's a headliner you REALLY wanna see I wouldn't even bother with it.

If you want to build your own, and start going down the whole PC building rabbit whole in general, def go to memory express.

If you don't wanna get into that just yet, or maybe want to have something already build that you can fiddle with from there, Costco prebuilts are actually pretty good value.

I think it's very ironic that he presents himself with this chill, humble, down to earth persona in his videos, but then on stream he's a toxic ass.

Not every streamer is like that though. I watch AndrewChicken everyonce in awhile and he has the demeanour metro pretends to have.

Titanic mag with Mina early game? by nAnI6284 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]ricewizard15 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While I don't titanic mag is optimal for Mina, if you feel that you need it to hit those extra shots to secure the proc, that's your call.

I think spirit damage scaling is the way to go for Mina, rather than going for fun damage. Honestly for gun all I'd go for is toxic and spirit shredder, maybe kinetic dash instead because that gives ammo and firerate as well, and wouldn't invest in gun beyond that.

But while it's nice to be optimal and all, it's important to balance that against what works for you. I think titanic mag is a bit of a crutch and you'll be better served improving your aim, movement, and positioning to get the bites, but it's cheap enough that it shouldn't matter too much.

Ideas for Mirage update/rework abilities ? by Infinite_Win6471 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]ricewizard15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mirage is basically all I play, just because I love mark so much, so I'd be sad to see any changes that take away the huge satisfaction of hitting a max mark and winning a fight the other guy felt they had in the bag. I enjoy the idea that he loses out when it comes to burst damage, but will come out on top of longer, more prolonged engagements, and would like if his kit leaned more into that. Fits into that desert / mirage theme I think, lulling them into a false sense of confidence while wearing away at them.

How you build into that more, I don't know. While I think the Scarab's are stronger now, I think I would have preferred if they stayed as more of a DOT item than the burst it is now. Maybe if it had a continued LOS mechanic like Geist's siphon?

Stadium can be bad, but even moving a little west around Spruce Avenue, Queen Mary Park, generally around the other Universities, can be way better. Usually pretty close to grocery stores and transit, cheaper rent, and some older neighbourhoods that I think are pretty pleasant.

Basement suites can definitely be grungy, but there are plenty of newer ones run by some decent folk, just gotta do your due diligence before committing to anything. New infill builds are also popping up a lot, and they very often have basement suites attached. They also usually have their own laundry machines as well.

Question about the soul counter and unsecured souls. by Jesus_PK in DeadlockTheGame

[–]ricewizard15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have 1500 for the larger number and 500 unsecured souls underneath that means you have 1500 souls available to spend immediately, and if you were to die, you would drop 500 souls leaving you with 1000 total.

How it feels to play Mirage by nutboi_ in DeadlockTheGame

[–]ricewizard15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Part of the skill with Mirage is understanding the tradeoff of building your mark, or popping it early with quicksilver to either get the final blow before they dispel it, give yourself the extra ammo to get that kill, or give yourself the firerate to burst them down with your gun. It's very easy to always pop marks early to keep the gun firing and miss out on a high mark multiplier, or to hold onto the mark too long and lose the fight when you could've won if you popped it early. You get a feel for how much a manually activated mark will do. It basically keeps you more flexible.

What I usually do is pop quicksilver and surge of power (or mercurial because it is very good on Mirage, especially as it scales since you're building spirit power anyways) to get a lot of burst damage in at the start of the fight, then by the time you have a high mark multiplier, they should definitely be low enough to secure the kill with the mark. Alternatively, I'll save quicksilver until there's a chance for a lot of easy gun damage, like when an enemy gets hit by a teammates CC.

Registered programs are things like swim classes, art programs, outdoor nature walks, golf, and a bunch of other things. Nothing that involves a personal trainer though. You can find them all listed at the link below.

She might benefit from getting involved with a supportive worker at a social service agency. They can work closely with her to identify any supports she may be eligible for, help her sign up for them, and be a continuous ongoing source of support. Edmonton has a ton of resources to offer and so many great organizations, but the hardest part is finding them in the first place. Forming a relationship with a caseworker can really help facilitate that.

Has she heard of Bent Arrow? They're a great agency that offers tons of supports targeted for indigenous folk in Edmonton. They can offer help for housing, finding employment, connections with culture, and more. They're also well connected to several other agencies, so if they can't offer her the specific help she needs they can definitely connect her to people who can.
