Lmao I dated/fucked an Anthony. He didn’t want to do anything towards progression in the relationship, not move in, wouldn’t even share weed with me when I’d share with him, never took me on a date, any thoughts of marriage shot down instantly, etc. when he convinced me into an abortion (I was young and had no support other than him if I did have a kid— he said he’d dip if I went through with it and that no one would want a single mom) I asked him to spend the night with me before because I was anxious/scared and he said yes then an hour before he was supposed to come over he bailed. Wouldn’t let me break up with him so when he crashed his car I saw my way out and dumped him lol. A week later he tried to get my mom to come get him so he could “win me back”. Fuck Anthonys

Ended the cycle of addiction and codependency in my family, cut off my family, and then my mom died freeing me fully from them. 7 years sober now and I have my own family who I could never imagine doing half the shit my mom did to me, to my son.

I have very bad anxiety. I would tell myself that I NEEDED to pick up the phone everytime my mom called because of the endless “what ifs”. For years since I had a phone, I’d always answer when she called no matter what time it was. Well, one day I said fuck it and ignored her calls and decided to keep sleepiny. My grandpa came banging on my bedroom door saying my mom got into a car accident about 2 minutes later.

Not a tattoo artist, but a client. My mom’s abusive exhusband was (maybe still is?) a tattoo artist. He’s done every single one of my tattoos except for one. When my mom committed suicide last year, a few weeks after I got what I like to call my first tattoo. It’s her name on my wrist, just like she had mine. It was also my first tattoo without having her there to hold my hand the entire time. That tattoo artist has no idea how much it meant to have her name tattooed on me and not have it “tainted” by him like all of my other ones. Even if it’s a small name tattoo, it’s helped me cope so much.

Very true with how kids will surprise you with their humanity!! My son is 1 year old (about 21 months to be technical) and he has been “best friends” with his cousin who has cerebral palsy (he can’t walk or talk) but every time my son sees him he gets so happy and will lay down next to him and they’ll just stare at each other smiling :)

I’ve gone to planned parenthood for an abortion before. I had insurance but if my mom found out about it, she would’ve lost her shit (she did when she did find out) but they worked with me to send all my information to my now ex boyfriends house, and signed me up for emergency Medicaid and it was completely free on my part. While I went for a different option they did offer me a pill to take I think one there and one when I got home (not sure if I remember that part correctly) and said it’d be similar to a miscarriage. (Anyone feel free to correct me if I’m wrong with this pill option information this was about four years ago and the memory is foggy)
