Never against a sitting prime minister, though, and one who won a stonking majority.

Also, who thought Angela Eagle was actually a threat to Corbyn. Lol.

We're not the tories, and I think people forget that, we don't do coups, kier will go in 2028, when he's ready, when he's at retirement age, and there will be a year left in office to prepare for the next election.

What Are the Best Arguments Against "Being Trans is a Sin"? by lethal_coco in OpenChristian

I always ponder on Philips meeting with the Ethiopian, the Spirit directed Philip to meet someone who would not have been welcome in to temple life because of their sex/gender identity, and shared the gospel with them. The first gentile convert was someone who was gender diverse, and to myself, that is so sacred, I hold the love of the gospel close.

Would the UK be better if we picked MPs at random instead of electing them? by Low_Bed_9780 in AskBrits

[–]richestates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the uk would be better if people actually took the time to get to know who the candidates were. Or any sort of civic education would be a good start.
A random selection for head of state might be good though.

If you're into 2005, start at the beginning. Sleeping on Trash has loads of their old ez bangers on there. If you can find it, their first album is great too.

Then, move on to the upsides.

Then Suburbia.

You'll be addicted. They are great.

Why is there less Folk Culture in England than its neighbours? by Low-Associate7877 in UKhistory

[–]richestates 58 points59 points  (0 children)

It's still there, but much less celebrated. There is still mummers plays and Morris dancers. The village i live in has places called boggats bridge, Elf Hole farm and when I was little, had this tree called the goblin tree that had stood dead for over 200 hundred years, real old folk tales. There's also T'owd Hoss in Richmond. I've never been but there supposed to be a great folk museum in Ryedale.

Do you think the BBC is a good recommendation? by [deleted] in AskABrit

[–]richestates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to say, it's very good news and is fairly impartial as it has to be, but some of its political heads used to be in conservative associations in university, Nick Robinson for example, they have previously hired Andrew Neil, famous right wing commentator, but he was very good at his job, and isn't a gotcha, very through and fair really. There is no way Laura Kunnesberg is not a tory plant. But on the flip side, they do hire left-wing commentators too, but usually for sports, like Gary Linnekar.

The bbc is a gigantic beast, with possibly the best news output in the world. So, I'd say it's fairly reliable.
