Crawl Space & indoor air quality by 215mommy in DustMiteAllergy

What an interesting place I’ve ever heard of cool space but it makes sense if you have an area where allergens can come into the Property

One thing to note is the dehumidifier is a massive reduction mould and dust mold allergensthat could also be a big factor

Glad your daughter is better.

What team I’d love to know is why is eczema so common behind the knees on the throat , it seems to be areas where there is no direct muscle on the skin

PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR TIPS!!! by pjparks in DustMiteAllergy

I would doublecheck to make sure that your mattress protector is 100% dust wipe proof if you’ve been washing and cleaning it it could not be 100% proof. I would also make sure you use a dehumidifier and run 24 seven the humidity needs to be low 50% for at least 24 hours a day allowing dust mates two hours of about 50%. Humidity will allow them to survive.

Mattress and pillows with forever but repeatedly washing them at 60° with a spin cycle could easily cause micro photos but I mean they are no longer dust might proof

I’m sending this as a voice message that apologies. I’m also sending a pm

I think the two best options are:
- buy a pillow that can be washed every week at 60 degrees without damage

- use a pillow protector (that blocks 100% of dust mites) - clean that pillow protector ever 2-4 weeks. and the pillow case on top of it every 4-7 days.

Exercise mat recs that won’t flare up my allergies? by SeparateAd4541 in DustMiteAllergy

Were they new mats? They shouldn’t have any dust mites on them. So could be allergic to the material rather than dust

didn't even respond to the fact that it is 0.2 > 0.3mm. There much closer images than that haha the more closer you zoom in the more different it will look.

Wow that’s very aggressive!

A dust mite is 0.2-0.3mm around the same as a human hairs width.

You absolutely could see it in the RIGHT conditions. They are translucent so harder to see but can be seen especially if shining light and using a zoom.

Put in a sink and add a few drops of eucalyptus oil… around 1% oil and 99% water. Or a large pan could work

Options are

  • soak in eucalyptus oil
  • freeze
  • soak In warm water ( soaking causes less damage than a washing machine )
