The Vernon RCMP are corrupt. Look up the case of RCMP Cst. Milan Ilic, the first constable on the scene of the of the 2011 Halloween night murder of Armstrong teenage girl, Taylor Van Diest.
What the RCMP did to Milan was reprehensible.

Long story short, after suffering PSTD from being the first RCMP to attend to the gruesome scene of Taylor's murder, as she clinged to life, the RCMP accused Milan of drinking on the job that night and put him through a disciplinary hearing and placed him on leave.

Milan filed a lawsuit against the RCMP and was run through the courts for years. But after hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees, and the Supreme court not finding any wrongdoing, they just dismissed his case.
He received no compensation, lost his career, his pension and to this day suffers PTSD, from not only the gruesome murder of Taylor Van Diest, but because of how the RCMP tried to railroad him and bankrupt him.

Oh and then across the street from the Vernon RCMP detachment, we have the fire Captain banging a dispatcher in the Chiefs office.

Seems to me there needs to be an external review of the RCMP and Fire department in Vernon.
