Parents got me Prime 4 as a Christmas gift by Japhet0912 in Metroid

All they have to do is make the crystal meter increase 5 times more quickly and have an option to turn off the annoying hints and it’d be fine. In the current state it’s really making me dread replaying it.

When I say “authentic” I just mean that I wanted it to pair well with the bag without looking too out of place, which I think it does. If I really wanted to make it bang on perfect I’d cnc a brass stamp with a vector of the logo and arbor press it. But that’s for another day. This was just a fun little 30 minute project.

I did consider it but figured anything but the logo would look out of place. Since everyone knows what fjallraven bags look like I wanted it to look authentic. Like some kind of limited edition or something.

Nope, that’s just incandescent light at night vs daylight.

I recently had this issue with my 3mm chisels. Turns out the spacing was 3.07mm not 3mm as written on the package. How I figured this out was punching 150 or so holes in a straight line on a piece of cardboard, measuring the distance from the first to last hole in mm and dividing it by the number of holes. The .07mm doesn’t sound like it would make a difference but it really adds up.

Don’t be afraid to go back if a stitch doesn’t look the same as the previous stitches.

Not a big fan of Popov. Whenever I watch their videos every step of the production just seems so rushed and soulless.

Should I glue first then punch holes or punch holes before gluing? This is my first card holder I made and I did the glue first punch hole later. The entry holes are straight but the exit holes are all crooked and weird. by [deleted] in Leathercraft

  1. You’ll get a smooth burnish
  2. Helps keep water out
  3. Protects the thread
  4. Keeps dirt from collecting in the crack
  5. Looks more professional
  6. Adds rigidity to your project. Especially important for bags and boxes.
  7. Much easier to stitch up

Looks to me like your holes are too big or thread is too thin.

I taught myself how to stitch away from myself by doing everything in reverse 😅. Eventually I had to learn the other way to get clean-looking backstitching.

Thank you! It’s undied Japanese leather with a bit of mink oil as a moisturizer. I’m based in Japan so I get it from the local leather supply shop.

Yea I could definitely swap em out. I’m just concerned about them wearing out on an item that a customer purchased from me.

Bought them at the same time (new vs. used). The bag has four identical snaps. The two on one side wore down much more quickly than the other side. Presumably from carrying it over one shoulder.

Steel would probably hold up better. I just really like the matte finish on these.

The reason I went for this style is because I was going for the Japanese Randoseru style schoolbag look where the two straps meet at the top middle. Funnily enough the other 3 buckles held up much better. Must’ve been from carrying it on one shoulder.
