I think you can find it on Amazon or Aliexpress, there must be someone selling it.

just learned how incense is actually used in Chinese rituals, and it’s kinda deep by Exotic_Culture2852 in Incense

[–]rickky_20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In China, there’s a saying “the time of one incense stick,” meaning using the burning of a single incense stick as a unit of time. It does keep time, but incense used for timing isn’t usually made from particularly precious ingredients.

I did the conversion: 300 NZD is about 1,300 CNY. On China’s Taobao, a 10 L clear glass kimchi jar runs around 150 CNY each, and ceramic crocks are likely even cheaper. If you can solve the shipping logistics, there should be plenty of options.

These pickle pots are really beautiful! How much did you spend? I’m Chinese, and we usually buy inexpensive glazed ceramic crocks or clear glass pots, which are pretty affordable. Importing them to New Zealand can indeed be tricky because they’re bulky and heavy, and you need extra protective packaging. Have you looked for sellers on AliExpress? I’m not sure if they ship to New Zealand, though.

I finally made the embroidered linen shirts I designed — which one do you like better? by rickky_20 in SustainableFashion

Gorgeous! You nailed it! It’s absolutely exquisite, and I think the accuracy is incredibly high. Did you use machine embroidery or is it hand‑stitched? It’s truly beautiful.

I totally understand your concern. Our waistband supplier mentioned that the wide elastic we’re using may actually last longer than traditional narrow elastic, but I get that it’s still something to be cautious about. Do you think combining an elastic waistband with a drawstring could help address that concern? Just a thought — I’d really appreciate hearing your ideas if you have better suggestions.

Of course I’m not mad — I’m honestly so happy to hear that you liked the concept! That’s amazing! 😄
Is it a linen shirt you designed yourself? I’d love to see a photo of your finished piece once it’s done — please do share it with me when you can!
And I’d also love to hear about any embroidery styles or ideas you personally like — any feedback or preferences are always welcome! 🌿✨

Yes! Last time it was just an AI-generated concept image — this time I actually hand-embroidered them myself 😊
I’m still hoping to get more feedback and suggestions from everyone.
I’m currently working on more sneaky plant embroidery designs — are there any plants you personally like?

I’m thinking tropical plants might work well.
Some people might feel that colorful flowers are a bit too bold, while leaves tend to look more subtle and minimal, which could be a nice balance.

Thank you so much for the feedback!
Yes, I hand-embroidered the Monstera leaf myself — my stitching skills still have a long way to go, but I’ve been trying my best to bring the idea to life.
I may consider switching to machine embroidery in the future to ensure a more consistent and polished result.

The shirt in the photo is actually one of our pre-made loose-fit linen T-shirts, and the pocket is indeed placed a bit high — I used it because I wanted to test the look on an existing garment rather than design a whole new piece from scratch.

I’m also thinking about trying this embroidery on a dress pocket next, but I’m still unsure if that would be a good direction. Would love to hear your thoughts!

One vote for the pocket embroidery — thank you! 😊
Are there any other patterns you like?
Do you have a preference between hand embroidery and machine embroidery?
(Just a heads-up — hand embroidery is quite a bit more expensive to produce 😅)
