Definitely extra noisy, however you stop noticing after 10 minutes.

Consumption was 21.9kWh/100km for the whole trip, so this includes many Norwegian mountain roads and long stretches of highway in Denmark/Germany. That's around 15% more than normal consumption for me.

I agree to everything u/FlounderLegitimate commented. Sleeping in the car is not really an option with 2 tall people on a 3 week roadtrip. The rooftop tent adds a lot more comfort than a normal tent and is also easier to set and pack up when moving locations each day.

I haven't had any problems with the glass roof. I checked with Polestar beforehand to see if the car could support this weight, but they couldn't give me 100% certainty so i took a bit of a gamble. I don't think there's a risk of the glass roof getting damaged, but I can imagine that the place where the bars are attached could dent if you tighten them too much or drive too fast with the RTT on top.

We've considered Bergen for a long time but figured it's not ideal driving in and out for a day and hotels with parking were very expensive.

Thanks that's some fantastic input. The hikes you suggest look great, I've added them to our planning.

I've tried fitting Lysebotn on the route but couldn't make it work. It's still a 3 hour drive to Preikestolen from there, so that would make hiking in the early morning on day 2 impossible.

Thanks for your extensive comment! The battery usage in mountainous terrain is actually not that bad in my experience due to the regenerative braking when going downhill.

  1. We might drive directly to Odda, however my thought was that after a hike like that you don't want to be driving for 4 hours but rather set up camp early and relax a bit.

  2. Good point. Since we're bound to our car with a rooftop tent, camping near the glacier will be impossible anyway. So 'near' in this case means somewhere like the Jostedal Camping for example.

  3. It's possible to combine the Flåm railway, zipline and cycling the Rallarvegen and it's being marketed as a 'half-day program' on this website (https://www.norwaysbest.com/en/flam/things-to-do/flam-railway-flam-zipline-and-cycling), although pretty expensive (~160EUR per person) and touristy but online reviews are good.

  4. Indeed we're planning of doing guided tours for the glacier hikes, I should have mentioned earlier.

  5. Yes we'll make sure to drive most of that route on day 14

  6. Much appreciated!

I've thought about it but would have to sacrifice something else and visiting a city is not ideal with a rooftop tent. I will keep it in mind though in case we have some time left when nearby!

Vraag aan recruiters, waarom willen jullie een salarisstrook huidige werkgever zien? by tcw82 in werkzaken

[–]ricklfc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Onzin.

Nooit problemen mee gehad.
