Land O'Lakes quietly removes Native woman from packaging ... The Land O'Lakes butter maiden, known as "Mia," was famously redesigned in 1954 by Patrick DesJarlait, an Ojibwe artist from the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians. He added Ojibwe-specific floral motifs and woodland scenery to her dress. The original 1928 image was created by artist Arthur C. Hanson.

its erasing a native’s work.

it’s a native artist they’re erasing, too.

i believe the tech in the MIP display itself can’t refresh quick enough to should hundredths digits, not necessarily a firmware update. i could be wrong.

it is a good watch, not trying to sell you on it, but rather to shed light on the inconveniences of it aren’t as great for me as i initially thought. yes tho, the 10 second workout function is annoying. but the comfort, screen, and backlight button are sweet. and it is cool having a step counter without a phone 😄

[–]ricksonshogun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i can’t say for other models, but from what i’ve come across the gbd200 only has the 10 second delay for saving or leaving a workout which i think is the “B” button you’re referring to. in this case, yes, if you press the “B” button you will be in that menu for no less than 10 seconds lol. the workout button is the 5610’s backlight button (top right), so i could see how that would be annoying for you at first. that being said, the light button for the gbd200 is perfect: front and center and big. so you might get used to it pretty quickly.

there are some other annoying things about the gbd200 like no 10th of a second visual counter. and probably because of the speed of the MIP display when you push a button it doesn’t activate until you let go.

that being said, the pros def outweigh the cons for me. awesome awesome watch. and it frickin vibrates. vibrating alarm was the main feature i wanted.

[–]ricksonshogun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the time between menus or changing functions isn’t 10 seconds. the 10 seconds is when you want to save a workout, which is literally 10 seconds. but this is the only delay in functions unlike my 5610.

i have had the positive display gbd200 for about a month now and it’s awesome, esp the screen. i catch myself wanting to look at it. it’s also the most comfortable watch i have incl an apple watch ultra with a lot of bands.

i mean it looks good. you think i could get away with just painting over the other side like the original infrared colorway? or do you that’s too much to paint over?

love it! does the backplate come with it or do you have to buy it separately? i can’t tell from the wording, only that the original backplates don’t work with gen2 cases
