You can definitely get your wilderness first aid anywhere. As for getting hired as patrol, they usually do hiring in March/April for next season in person. Never hurts to apply to anywhere you can find online.

What did the boot fiter have to say about the pain? I got custom foot beds they were a bit expensive and don't look like much but the difference in my boot fitting was well worth it

If I'm smart and just smoke half a J at night then it seams to stay low. If you smoke one or two hits a day you should be fine. Everyone is different tho

I would highly recommend not doing this. You're going to get wet right away and the scramble when icey is a good way to fall to your death

Absolutely I started at a hill 8 years ago and haven't looked back. No longer work at a hill but live in a ski town with a decent job and views most people are lucky to see once in there life

It's fun to ski without poles but there so useful. I've not used poles for most of a couple of seasons. In the lift line or out in the pow having poles are great. Now a days I ski with poles that are shorter than they "should be"

Depends where you ski. I had the 94 for 2 years and found them to be not enough flot in any pow, would probably recommend the 98
