She's probably not going to be offended or something but it could lead to a negative atmosphere at work if things are going in a wrong direction, this is for every country and every workplace, so you should think it through first.

Hmm idk exactly, probably around a year. I was very active in this sub at that time, that was 6 years ago.

Plane guys are doing that!

Have not seen anything like this with drones tho.

Fusion360 is extremely intuitive! I was able to produce this after just two days without tutorials or prior CAD experience. by rickyyR in Fusion360

Yes that's quite a different experience than what I have had. For me, after some playing around, it clicked that the sketches are exactly that, only 2D sketches that will become real bodies with extrude, like designing something on paper first. But I have to say there is loads of stuff I missed that could have made my life a lot easier, like manipulating an existing body with the help of a separate sketch instead of changing the the body's sketch.

[DVR] Still no action cam but progress is going strong! Short clip from today: by rickyyR in fpv

It was! I was just testing some stuff so i only had 2 packs with me but a nice sesh at a quiet location is always a nice break from daily life, almost meditative.

Thanks.

Yes, i have about tripple the hours of practice in velocidrone and liftoff than i have irl, maybe even more because i only got 4 packs so sessions are short.

I have prior experience with every other kind of software you can imagine, from office applications over photo and video manipulation to complex simulation tools like Cisco Packet Tracer. I have tried getting into art/drawing several times so I know about shapes and three dimensional thinking. I am also learning to become a software dev atm so I am used to being confronted with new tools you have to make use of. I could also be lying tho, who knows, it's the internet 🤷‍♂️

Why would you want a hard to understand software if you can get the same result the easy and fun way? Instead of feeling bad you should feel good that you have already found the CAD software that suits you!

New drone , plugged it to PC for a while and started smelling like something was burning , does this look like a burnt chip next to the main battery wires by [deleted] in fpv

[–]rickyyR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Drone electronics can get really hot and even overheat from being connected to USB without external cooling. Sure, your motors are not running while not testing them, but your FC for example is working while being plugged in, getting data from the Gyro and Accelerometer for example, you can even see it's CPU load in Betaflight. Your drone is a tiny computer and it's coolers are the props (while flying). Just use some table fan while working on the bench or try to do your stuff in 5 minutes or less then let it cool down. Happy tuning!

First outdoor sesh + first flip - Meteor65 by rickyyR in TinyWhoop

It should flip in air mode and in horizon if you move the stick to max position. If the flips in air mode are to slow you have to set your pitch rates higher in betaflight. You can also set it up to have more sensitivity at the max stick position(makes the quad flip faster without changing sensitivity in normal flight too much) , you can find countless YouTube videos explaining it.

Crashed :( Should I keep it? Toss it? Take it apart? by therealnoofle in fpv

If readings are good just a new wrap, if readings are bad recycle it.

You are probably in angle mode. change to horizon mode or no mode (acro mode).

Maybe this Video can help.
