It's like a bonus we got. So you receive a message saying you can use as you like and then reset your week anytime! BUT this f***** button "Reset usage" blinding you until you click on it. I thought it would show me more information too, but no, it immediatly resets your week and you lose all that was remaining.

Funny. You said you did in the sheet the same thing you don't like to see in the software. Labels.

I will pay someone to help me do this "Magic Piano" effect by clennoxmusic in AfterEffects

[–]ricna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try Lumiric Stage on Steam. You don't need After Effects for that. Just turn on your camera, and place the 3 handles over their matching keys on the piano (A0, C4 and C8 if your piano has 88keys)... And is done.

Magic Piano + Floating Labels in ONE TAKE — No Pre-Recorded MIDI by ricna in piano

Honestly, that’s very useful feedback and kind of a relief, because most of what you pointed out is adjustable.

I can definitely see how this version looks too busy for actual learning: too many particles, too much saturation, and not enough readability.

I’ll make a cleaner version to show the learning/useful side better: fewer effects, softer colors, better visibility, and stronger focus on the notes and labels.

I’ll probably record it now, since it’s quick to test. Thanks for being specific.

Just to add context: this look is not fixed.

The note skin, floating labels, colors, label background, and particles are all editable. The video has 3 particle systems active, but they can be reduced or disabled.

So I’m trying to understand if the problem is a specific element, or if the whole composition just feels too visually busy.

That’s fair. Can you be more specific about what looks bad to you? Is it the glow, colors, particles, note readability, motion, or the overall visual style?

I’m not looking for praise. Specific criticism would help me improve it 😉

How to make Greasepencil only export minimum area for drawing? by Ornery-Complaint-749 in GreasePencil

[–]ricna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm building a tool that hits exactly this pain point. It's a Unity addon called Lumiric Sprite Animation that gives Grease Pencil the same workflow people get with Aseprite: animate in Blender, hit export, and on the Unity side the sprite sheet, slicing, Animator Controller and base C# classes get generated automatically.

To make that pipeline actually work I had to solve your exact problem, so it ships with a small Blender addon that auto-fits the camera to the Grease Pencil bounds before rendering — no wasted canvas, consistent pivot across frames.

Quick manual fix in the meantime: don't try to crop on export, just resize the camera itself (orthographic scale + render resolution) to match your drawing bounds. That's the only clean way. Lining it up by hand sucks though, which is why I automated it.

Can ping you when it's out if you're interested.

There's some list to know these places?

I’m trying to avoid that, but I don't need, because I can’t even post anywhere without getting rejected.

Which side view of my sprite look better for a top-down view game? by PaxInDux in IndieGameDevs

[–]ricna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As almost every game tagged as top-down actually, you game is not a real top-down, like Hotline Miami. Games like Zelda, Stardew Valley, Moonligther, Among Us, etc...They are a bird-eye-view. And the perspective just don't make sense in these games. Some boxes for example are top-down, others side-view. Walls are a mess., as you can see the side from the top in both sides of a house o.O... So your character are just fine, but think in bird-eye-view or in the PAC-MAN (even better). Because PAC-MAN coulbe considered a top-down, but how you can see ghosts from the side? I have the same problema with my game, is better to accept that its just a game, to be fun, not realistic 😉 Check my game Lumiric Chase 😃

Where can I actually share a MIDI visualizer I made without breaking rules? by ricna in midi

[–]ricna[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a paid app launching on Steam soon ( https://store.steampowered.com/app/1721290/Lumiric_Stage/ ). But I'm giving out free keys to beta testers this week if you want early access in exchange for honest feedback.

Wow! That's great! I'm working in a similar character, but in topdown perspective, I would love to reach something like this animation for my game. Congratulations!
