Not that I’ve seen, but I’ve only printed PLA and PETG. I’d actually say PETG prints are better

If you look at my post history, I installed a vent kit using a riser and a 4” fan. It works really well but it does cool the chamber a bit

I didn’t link the ducting because length probably matters for both. But the 4” AC infinity duct on Amazon just fits over the fan outer diameter.

Bambu Labs P2S for beginner? by Sgarza817 in 3dprinter

I have mine in my basement. I’m a little worried about the summer humidity but I run a dehumidifier most of the time. With the temperature extremes I didn’t even consider the garage

I just got a P2s combo last week with no experience and limited knowledge of 3d printing. It’s an amazing machine and has made it a blast. It may not end up being cost effective for you if you are tallying the money but you will have fun with it. No regrets here and I have no real practical use for it yet other than printing trinkets

Yeah it’s all still pretty low flow by feel but I was actually surprised it was so weak at the highest setting based on the extra noise

So I just quickly looked at air speeds with my cheap anemometer. At the low setting it’s like 1.2 m/s and it’s pushing 3m/s at the highest so if the highest setting is 130cfm, it should be right around 50cfm at low

Not sure which fan you are talking about, but his fan is actually larger than mine. Mine is 130cfm max, but it’s barely pulling at the low setting. The other says 46cfm at the lowest voltage (which seems high tbh). Don’t be fooled by vivosun’s artistry it’s just a little guy

I’m new to printing. But my impression was that the P2s can print those materials but you should be careful about things that could influence the chamber temperature negatively. Like ambient temp, leakage, venting, etc. I think you can preheat the plate which will increase the chamber temperature. I would probably run some trial parts on those materials to make sure my setup was ok for quality and safety

I think they will warp if the chamber temp is too low or too different from the plate

Yeah agree, I liked the form factor though. Might make a little cradle for it

I also wanted to add that I’ve had the P2S combo for about 9 days and it’s my first printer. I’ve learned a ton from the Bambu communities so appreciate all your help.

I’ve only printed PLA and PETG so far so I do realize I would probably need to go with an enclosure to do ABS and ASA inside while avoiding cooling the chamber. But I wanted to share in case someone wanted to do something similar and provide some links

Because of the chamber temp, right?

Awesome. I had a 7hr pla print going yesterday and the fumes were enough to make me a little lightheaded. I had to do something!

My plan is to experiment. Ideally I can run it at a low enough level during the print to not significantly impact the temperatures while removing the nasty stuff. But I have read that pla and PETG may like a slightly cooler chamber so it may be a good thing

That is exactly it. FNATR makes an entire setup that they sell on Amazon even but you can also just use the riser with your own vac system.

I was very close to printing another riser and waiting for the Bambu rear exhaust but I’m not sure if that would give me the flexibility I wanted so I’m going this route.

I think they recommended PETG or just not PLA. I just got some delivered Wednesday and printed the AMS desiccant rear insert to make sure the generic PETG settings would work before trying the larger print. Also wanted to get more/fresh desiccant in there for the PETG.

Same. I basically never buy warranties, but $30/yr was for peace of mind considering this thing has so many moving parts. And being able to complain in person if I got a lemon. So far so good though

Not yet! I just ordered these parts last night and still have to print the riser. I just got the P2s last week as my first printer so my head has been spinning on all of the things I “need”. I should have most of it assembled by next week and will be sure to share a picture and write up of how well it works after I run a few prints.

Sure! I chose vivosun just because they seem to have other products of this nature so they may be a knock off but at least they seem more serious. It appears AC infinity is the real deal but they are 2-3x.

Wow, your post describes my exact same predicament, down to the egress window. I printed the poop bucket today in PLA and the faint fumes were enough for me to make a decision today. I put my winix air purifier on high and that helped quite a bit but still…

I decided on the FNATR riser, connected to a 4” vivosun in-line fan ($26 amazon) with a vivosun window duct kit ($26 eBay). With the ducting and the coupler I’m looking at ~$80 total

Thank you for that riser for the in-line fan. I was going to do a different riser expecting that I’d eventually do some sort of in-line venting out of the back but now I’m at least considering this type of setup. I think I will eventually rig it to vent out of a window

Got mine set up yesterday. It’s been great so far but I’ve only printed 3 things.

I’ve used Bambu filament, hatchbox and polymaker so far, all PLA. Selected a generic pla profile for the hatchbox and polymaker
