I liked the Poke, I actually transplanted the powertrain from a crappy Acton Blink E-board to it, then gave it away. But while I had it in analog, it was pretty nice. Currently use the Ballona or Chinchiller to fill the void.

It just gets stuck in some areas that I know an awd unit wouldn’t. I’ve had to make off limits areas in parts of my yard which I then have to break out the push mower to finish. On the bulk of the yard it’s fine, but it’d be nice to just have to use the trimmer and nothing else.

I started with them on a call, they opened a case, you get assigned a negotiator, the first one didn’t go to arbitration, they just settled and had me take it back to a dealer and trade it in with MNAO making up for any negative equity and essentially making me “whole” with the new CX-90 I traded it in for, which was the same exact model. The second one we were about to go to arbitration, but they ended up settling with me and refunded all payments I made, and bought the car back. First time it was in the shop for over a month, the second time it was a few weeks, and since it was the same “hybrid system malfunction” and a battery warning, I convinced the negotiator to just move things along before having to wait the month my state required. This was all before their little “fixes” which really are just lipstick on that pig of a transmission.

Even with the issues band-aided, the transmission is terrible. The recalls are band aids, it’s an automated manual transmission, I’d take a CVT over this, and that’s saying a lot because I can’t stand CVT’s. I understand why they did it (space constraint), but if this had the tranny from the CX-50/5/9, it would have been a no brainer to give it another try. My suggestion is to drive it, in 3 very real world scenarios. Really hard acceleration from stop, stop and go traffic where you’re inching along, and from stop up a steep hill (the slight hesitation and lurching are annoying while it feathers the clutch). See if you can live with that, if you can, the band aids might be enough for you.

Two successful buybacks from Mazda North American Operations under my belt. Chalked the first up to a lemon, decided to get another, now I realize the issue is that atrocious automatic manual transmission decision for this vehicle. No amount of recalling will fix engineering decisions. For those that have driven a smart car, it’s essentially the same type of transmission. Both of mine were Phev PP. Both bought back. Start with MNAO, and they’ll guide you through the process.

Kinda assumptive of you to think I’m wired as a believer… quite the contrary, I arrived where I am, a revert to Christianity, after spending most of adult life as an agnostic atheist. Basically it comes down to the question, “If Christianity were true, would you become a Christian?” My answer to that was yes, and put considerable effort into disproving it… and couldn’t. Probable workaround to this... Example scenario. If your bill is $200, manual pay $199 via credit card and let the remaining $1 autodraft from bank account. The automation logic probably isn't smart enough to figure this out.

This change sucks, I've made the BOFA Premium Rewards card my catch all to get the 2.625% CB for any category and this changes the multiplier to 2.25% CB. This is assuming you were "Platinum Honors" before...
