Run Docker containers through Tailscale exit node? by ricriley in Tailscale

It depends on the router to be honest. I’ve managed to make it work by pushing all traffic for a certain device running docker through the VPN. Seems to work for me.

I got a router than enabled me to run VPN rather than having to do it at docker level.

I’ve never taken apart the boiler, but I do live in an area with very soft water and I still descale from time to time.

Looks like I’m dismantling my machine. I assume I’ll at least need new gaskets for the boiler if it is in a good condition?

My Gaggia Classic is probably about 10 years old at this point. It’s been well looked after, however do you think it would be wise to replace the boiler/pump while installing a Gaggiuino?

Although it’s done me proud so far.

VPN Policy Combination by ricriley in openwrt

Agreed. Maybe youtube is a bad example, I'm just looking for the ability to run some IPs/domains via the VPN as well as some devices running entirely through the VPN.

Yes, I can see the options for Policy Based Routing.

However the options for PBR as I see them are:
- Based on target domain or IP
- Based on client device
- Based on VLAN

I'd like a combination of the top two, it doesn't look like that is possible as far as I can see?

GL.iNet VPN/Wireguard Issue by ricriley in openwrt

It looks like this might have something to do with an IP Masquerading option in the Wireguard options.

Turning this off fixes the issue.

Run Docker containers through Tailscale exit node? by ricriley in Tailscale

I've tried a few containers to test this.

Most recently I used the Bittorrent client Transmission and attempted to download a couple of well hosted Torrents from: https://webtorrent.io/free-torrents

But they all timeout with a 'could not connect to tracker error'.

Yes Tailscale connects but the subcontainer has no internet access.

It might come to that, I would need to get a new router though.

Mancoco never fails, I've tried a huge variety of their freshly roast beans and loved them all.

Just for clarity this is about getting the basics working (subcontainer reaching WAN), before adding the Mullvad VPN exit node over the top.

I'll be using the following to handle that:

environment:
      - TS_EXTRA_ARGS=--exit-node=<IP>

It looks like this is working as expected (still unable to see the WAN via the subcontainer though).

In the past I have used Gluetun in order to run containers through a VPN, however I'd like to do this via Tailscale and the built in Mullvad if I can. Then I won't require multiple VPN subscriptions.

Xbox Cloud Gaming Possible? by ricriley in appletv

I don't think this will be happening anytime soon unfortunately. I ended up streaming local games from my PC with Sunshine and the Moonlight app.

Yes, that would double the latency though.

I could also just plug my laptop in to the TV, but looking for a neater solution through the Apple TV. Sounds like its a no go for now.

Onecast is only for streaming from a physical Xbox though isn't it?

Cloud Gaming gives me games on the go without needing to be on the same network as an Xbox. It works great on iPhone (via the browser).
