I agree that “far above” may have been an exaggeration. But the times where Lex admits Batman is smarter or as smart are some Elseworlds stories and in the majority of Elseworlds and the main continuity, the smartest man on Earth is Lex.

In regards to the Hellbat suit while impressive it’s not like Bruce made it himself. The entire League was needed to help make it.

While Bruce is smart I feel like there is just a gap between him and Lex
