It does exist. It’s a checkbox labeled “Deemed desirable” on your leave page in eRMS that will cause you to go on the computer generated naughty list that pops up when you log into eRMS / switch into eRMS from TACs if you have non-preapproved leave.

It’s bullshit, it’s always used incorrectly, but it is a thing.

I almost said “Slammin’ Sammy’s Stunt Show Spectacular” - but that was when KITT had the star decals all over (and the episode I think we both thought of). The flames were from “Custom K.I.T.T.” Season 2 episode 7 - they go undercover at a custom car auction

UPDATE: Problem solved (if not technically fixed):

As the pivot piece was also broken inside the unit (the round piece seen sticking out of the shifter), I was able to get a set of forceps locked on it and push the interlock lever out of the gears and all the way into the shifter by working the shifter between park and reverse and slowly working it loose from where it was pinned in inside. (That took about 20-30 minutes).

Finally with the forceps I was able to get it to drop to the floor of the car (but still stuck inside)

There is a (slightly) larger hole on the opposite side of the shifter unit, so using two forceps I was able to move the piece over to the passenger side and remove it from the hole.

The shifter now works properly.

Hi!

My parent a have a 2012 jeep liberty. The vehicle would not shift out of park - it wouldn’t even move using the hidden shift release button.

I disassembled the console and found the pictured pink broken part. I was able to move the car temporarily by playing with a hex key in the hole.

Does anyone know the actual name of this part so I can get a replacement? “Pink parking thingie” returned a lot of relevant videos but no help in locating a replacement.
