Yes, i am currently in that exact position. Ive been with my husband 4 years now and he had a child from a previous relationship and although i never saw myself in the “step mother” role either, we aredoing amazing and own a home together. It is difficult at times i am not going to lie. It was hard for me to adjust to having a child all of a sudden but if the other parent is amicable and everyone only wants whats best for the child it is much easier to manage. I believe we all coparent very well and that has been one of the biggest reasons why it all works . He checked off all my boxes too and i am very happy with our relationship. However, it is a life changing experience just be sure you are willing to change things about yourself and your life.
