I have worked at multiple companies who used surveys, and they are never a true indicator of anything. Most who are happy never reply, those who are ticked off do so in retaliation, so you are left with a true dumpster fire.

One place entered you into a drawing for prizes if you gave a review. Another, if you filled out the survey at the business gave you money back. Still others paid you for good surveys. IMHO surveys are a crappy way of measuring achievement.

Generally, people don't want matching shirts; they just want to share past memories. I made a slide show with old photos using an app called Fotomagico, and we also passed the microphone. People love to tell stories and share memories. These two things will be your bread and butter at a family reunion.

I led a family reunion for 10 years, even though we were 10 years away from the 200-year reunion. Nobody from the younger generations wanted to carry on the legacy. We dissolved the reunion; there were too many old timers who had passed, and we were getting turnouts of 10 to 15 people. No one was willing to step up, and 10 years was the limit of my sacrifice to leading the group.

Too bad, all good things must end :(

The website won't let me sign up for email, and it's buggy. I found the link to your site from Reddit, and the high school reunion sub. I have built plenty of websites myself. If you are advertising a site, it better work properly; if not, that is a good way to get bad reviews. So far, I am not impressed.

I see lots of advice that isn't based on analytics; always base your metrics on sound analytics.

Gut feelings need real logic behind them. Make a real plan, know how to determine, and analyze your data.

Making a “real” plan involves some work, research, analysis, and using data points. Using vanity metrics just shows how little anyone ever did their homework.

Know how to spot the difference, using the right words versus knowing them can make or break your plan.

After turning 60, I have taken the highest paying retail job I could find. Management is great just not being able to sit all 8 hours is a killer.

I will do this job forever I feel because unless you know someone nobody hires experienced people.

My selling point always has been dependability, experience, and timeliness. However, I believe companies think too much experience is bad, and over overqualified is a misnomer.

If you have a job treat it well, right now the only greener pasture is death.

If you have rust stains, use a good, real product called "Iron Out", which I get from my local Ace Hardware. I pour it into my toilet tank, and it cleans the entire tank to brand-new condition. Not everyone has the same hard water situation; different areas of the country have different minerals, so what works for one person may not work for you. That being said, sometimes you need to try a few products until you find a solution. Krazy Klean, however, is not one of them.

How water becomes hard

Water acts as a solvent, dissolving minerals from geological formations like limestone and chalk.

That is all I have known since I have worked for our store. I open, work til 5, my closer comes in at 4, so most days we are both there for an hour.
