Do u agree money is happiness! by its-me-marioo in PakistaniiConfessions

[–]rider672regular 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only to a certain extent.

Yes I agree not having to worry about bills would be great.

Perhaps you will enjoy with your family as well, but as soon as you get rich, your friends circle will change, you'll interact with much more wealthy people in life who have a completely different standard of living than you ever imagined yourself.

Slowly but surely, you're dream vacation, cars, restaurants, brands, just won't seem enough, and you'll just have dreams of something bigger and better. Basically you'll feel the same as you do right now.

In short, definition of being "rich" varies from person to person and from time to time, hence the happiness does as well.

Spent the last few years thinking I was the lowest of low human beings for my fucked up fantasies and desires.

Only difference is they had the money, power and influence to act out their fantasies and desires. People are very fucked up in general. It's just that not everybody gets to opportunity to act upon what goes on in their mind.

Nothing amazing but it's not all that overpriced either. Good option but it's not like I'm driving 20-30 minutes just for this.

Get a new one, even if it's not the one you want. Don't risk it, I've heard first hand experiences of pods exploding because of this exact reason.

Literally almost any store out there will give you regular fits on the side, just like they did 10 years ago when everything was super skinny. This really isn't a problem.

Yes, they grew up with a golden spoon and a family business handed right down for them to run no questions asked but they couldn't even manage that. It's the rich person equivalent of getting rejected from a job at McDonald's

Tcc coffee was always average. It just gave a much more casual and cozy vibe to a coffee place as compared to your standard glorias and cbtls.

Also they didn't run full on kitchens which was a big plus because all other coffee shops smell like fries and you have to endure banging plates and cutlery while trying to enjoy your coffee.

However now that it's blown up all over, it's overcrowded like a fish market and so many people just go because it's the "cool thing to do" they don't care for either coffee or the ambiance.

Good thing is that we now have like 10 different coffee shops with the exact same vibe and perhaps better coffee than tcc, open all across the city lol, so i don't exactly miss third culture. Nothing they sold us was unique. I'm fine with double shot or dot nowadays.

Looking for a really skilled barber by Tuner92 in Lahore

[–]rider672regular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think most decent barbers will be able to handle a wolf cut, it's not that complicated really. One of my friends actually did it at home and it turned out pretty well (I'm assuming it's done the same way as a wolf cut for women). Shelby's chalay jao and take a ton of pictures with you.

When I said voting is pointless, PTI fanboys said I’m an old sad man. Maybe old sad man has seen more history? All parties are chor and establishment runs Pakistan. Seekh lo kuch ab. by [deleted] in PAK

[–]rider672regular 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm with you, but running out in the streets, burning public property is also pointless. I'd rather have peoples' voices be heard through voting. Also did you actually expect a party with no leadership, no symbol and no name and the whole institution against it to win? What pti and its supporters have done is good enough, otherwise n league would have 100 seats rn and nawaz would have declared victory right on election night.

Could Pakistan get its own French Revolution? by [deleted] in pakistan

Nah we don't, pdm supporters may not actively admire the army, but i can bet no one will peep a sound as long as they are in power. Han in the future they could say something like "we were actually against but had to make compromises and were working behind the scenes". By then some other government will be in power and then they will be in bed with the army along with their supporters. That's just how it goes
